There Is No Real Hub Score Secret

Hubscores only serve as an in house score for well received content that is well written and well commented on.

High scoring hubs are defined as useful or search engine worthy too, but it seems a few factors go into the high hub score hub pages.

If your hub page receives comments at a steady rate it is perceived as a useful or interesting page and so to some degree the quality of the comments could be taken into account, instead of low grade throw away comments such as "nice hub, thanks" instead you have your say and an opinion, sort of like blogging comments were you contribute to something that is a community based discussion about the work that someone has written.

Equally, a good hub page will have quality comments that add to the content preceding it, in the world of online publishing, peoples opinions count towards the end goal of being well received as a writer or a blogger.

High traffic is another thing that will no doubt increase the hub score, from the search engines and internally within Hubpages itself.

All you really need though is a well written hub page that has been optimised for the search engines and so that Hubbers may find it in the Hubpages community, but in this little community you really need to be active and indeed interactive with other Hubbers and comment on their hubs genuinely with your opinions and insight as people seem to appreciate the time it takes to write a decent carefully thought out comment, and they may comment a few of your Hubpages back.

Therefore, it is worth writing high quality content or at the very least something you know a bit about so you can research it some more and build up an archive of brilliant content...I'm no expert, it's just the way I see it! and it's also the way others tell it!

Hi Wayne

Great article. What techniques do you use to optimize your hubs for search articles?

I am tinkering with different methods of optimization for my hubs, some for instance are visual, like my drawing hubs which include some of my art and especially demon art is quite often searchable on the internet, so Google images brings in a good amount of my traffic to those specific hubs.

Other ways I am just adding anchor text links within specific hubpages that could be related keywords and phrases that also help the rankings of them.

The titles of the hub pages are my main priority however as these are the first things you see in the search results and if people are searching within hubpages, so if you get them right with the correct keywords, you could be on the first page of google and other popular search engines first pages like msn and yahoo.

I'm learning new stuff everyday as I pick this up, I've been on hubpages over 2 years now and I'm glad I've stuck with it this far.
