What's your scary movie? Definitely Psycho thrillers!!!

I am a movie fanatic. I especially love scary movies, because it just gives you this adrenaline rush that just makes your brain go weee! :) Contrary to what most people think, scary movies are better to watch on a date rather than romantic comedies. Scary movies stimulates the brain and the senses of the body, making both man and woman (more so the woman) easier to seduce, if not they are the ones initiating to do the deed, if you know what I mean. ;p But not all scary movies have the same effect, I find psycho flicks better because it plays with your mind and it scares the hell out you because you know that it can happen in real life. Here's my Top 10 scariest-psycho-flicks-ever list:(not necessarily in order)

1. Wrong Turn - with Eliza Dushku, for anybody who doesn't know her, she's the girl who played missy on "bring it on" with kirsten dunst, and she also played faith in "buffy the vampire slayer the series". Anyway, this movie is about a bunch of kids taking a vacation, when they make a wrong turn at a cross road and ends up in the middle of now where, where they are hunted down by cannibals who are freaky, scary looking because of years of in-breeding. It's scary because cannibalism is practiced in some parts of the world and it can happen to you.

2. The Hostel - It's about 3 friends back packing through Europe, they get to this Slovakian town, they check in to a hostel where they met gorgeous women, they got carried away with all the drinking and fun and before they know it, they are in a room where they are tortured and even though they scream and scream, nobody can hear them because they are in a remote location. It's scary because you never know what will happen on one of your vacations to a foreign country, so it can happen.

3. The Hills have Eyes - A family vacation turned into a nightmare, another movie with cannibals in it. It's disturbing.

4. Hannibal - Watch it.

5. The Ring - Ok, so maybe this one can't happen in real life, but it's still really scary, especially when Samara is shown trying to climb up the well. Freaaaky!

6. Stay Alive - So the odds of a game killing you in real life is slim, but hey, it's still really scary.

7. SAW (1-3) - It's scary, period.

8. Disturbia - Your next door neighbor just might be a sick serial killer.

9. The Messengers

10. When a stranger calls - Random crimes are always scary.

*Movies to watch out for this year:

-Prom Night

-Pathology

-The Horror Vault

However, I might say that most of the movies posted in your list are far from being defined as "psycho flicks" at all. Especially, "Wrong turn", "The hills have eyes", and "Hostel" (two of them you have placed as #1 and #2). Personally, I consider those movies merely gruesome and far from being that frightening.

Thank you for your comment. I put them under "psycho flicks", because they were the movies that bothered me and disturbed me in a psychological way, and to me, that is the definition of a psycho flick, something that disturbs you in a psychological way. To me it was scary for the very reason that it was gruesome, and morbid. But that's just me, I'm not speaking for anyonle else but myself.
