When Faith has reached the top of the stairway
65After a lifetime of Christian living, sometimes we grow weary.
Having been born into a Christian family and living my entire life devoted to the Calling that was given to me at the age of 9 years old, I know how weary Christians can get when time seems to go on forever and we are still here. There is Peace for us if we look to the Scriptures and Listen for the Voice of God through them. Our Faith has its Roots in the Beliefs of Judaism. If we go back to the original language on which the Torah and Prophetic Books were written, our eyes will be opened with the Truth. Jewish Mysticism is based on this Knowledge. The Prophets of Old were mystics. They received their Messages in the coded language of Hebrew.
To translate the Hebrew effectively, is not to apply pat meanings to the letters, although the meanings are the basis for the letters of the alephbet. Listening to what God is telling you is the meaning for you, is the key. Potentially every word written can have a slightly different meaning depending upon who is reading it. There are a few examples given for you, below.
In order to read the Old Testament, that is the Torah and the Prophetic Books, one must understand what the visionary who wrote the book was seeing. The stairway is another way of describing Jacob's Ladder. The Tree of Life is another way of describing the levels of Spirituality. Ancient prophets drew diagrams which they called the Tree of Life. There are several versions of the Tree of Life diagram.
Christianity is, therefore, more complex than is portrayed by many. The hidden meanings within the Scripture are included in the Words of Yeshua HaMachiach. Yeshua is the God-given Hebrew Name which present day Christians call Jesus Christ. Weariness with dealing in the roller coaster ride of the world comes when we lose Sight of the Truth. Without the Truth to Guide us, we are just beating our heads against a wall in trying to live out the Christian life. The Truth for each person is in the Hebrew.
You can sketch the Tree of LIfe yourself
Our Faith is made up of more than Yeshua's death on the Cross
The Spiritual Event of the Crucifixion of Yeshua HaMachiach was not the end all, be all for the soon coming Church of the Christian. The Spiritual Resurrection of Yeshua was the Main Event. His ability to Overcome death and appear to so many people far outweighs the tragedy of the Crucifixion. The death on the Cross was a commitment of Love. It was the Ultimate Sharing of Spiritual burdens by Yeshua for the ones He Loved. In Following Him, we are to Share Spiritual burdens. We can see this accomplished in a husband feeling the labor pains of his wife. What we call sympathic labor pains are actually a much deeper Reality.
The examples of translation promised above, start with Jeremiah 7:16 -
The NIV version is: So do not pray for the people nor offer any plea or petition for them; do not plead with me, for I will not listen to you.
The translation God gave to me, during a time when Fasting was an important factor in my life: Do not control the Words from Revelation coming from the dreams during the fast. Don't destroy the Leader's successful completion, with Blood Witness. The song of folly is clinging to childish things; nothing is ever changed by talking about it.
In other words, that last little comment meant... actions speak louder than words!
Another example is Genesis 41:4 -
The NIV version: And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the seven sleek, fat cows. Then Pharoah woke up.
The translation given to me: God will use the sloth and the frail to encourage us to be healthy and lead sound lives.
And last, how about Psalm 33:5 -
The NIV version: The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.
The translation given to me: Love Righteousness and Judgement for our good (Benevolent) Jehovah, more than weary earth.
Faith is a personal thing, a personal relationship with whomever or whatever is your god. Should you desire to learn Hebrew, there is a wonderful primer for learning the basics on the website Hebrew for Christians. http://www.hebrew4christians.com/ The Zola's Introduction to Hebrew by John Parsons gives you lessons to help in writing and understanding the basics. As stated above, this is just the beginning. The true worth of the Hebrew to the Christian is in the Listening, but not only the Listening but the Hearing... May God Bless!

I have Zola's Hebrew Course and it is great. Zola Levitt was a good Christian Jew and loved the Messiah with his whole heart. He wrote such beautiful music and played the recorder and piano. I have some of his books too. He talked to people all the time about Jesus and how to ask Him into your heart. God Bless!
