When I grow up, I want to be a trick rider!

I am a horse lover. I always have been and I don't see that changing... I've been thrown off horses, stepped on, and even kicked and I still love the gorgeous animals. When I was little, my Papa and dad took me to the circus and then I knew what I wanted to be: a trick rider.
Those men and women riding those horses were amazing! They were standing on their horses, spinning around them, jumping from horse to horse; and it all looked so easy! They all looked like they were having the time of their life. The whole audience was amazed by the feats these athletes could perform. I wanted to be one of those people.
I had an old-fashioned stick horse and I played with it all the time. I practiced my tricks on my horse everyday. Someday, I would be a part of the circus, entertaining those people and able to perform those amazing skills.
I'm not yet a grown-up so if I choose to, I could go into the circus. However, I don't think circus life is right for me anymore. Horses are going to be in my life and will be a part of my career. Part of trick-riding is understanding natural horsemanship very well and that is something that I am learning right now. I love to learn those skills and natural horsemanship skills help me with my day to day tasks and sometimes, I have fun learning some tricks.

It's amazing to watch and I am somewhat of a risk taker myself... riding horses in itself actually is dangerous and I've been kicked and thrown off and such. I just love the adrenaline rush! If you trust the horse, it is easier. I can stand on Zach while he walks. We work on some tricks because I still have this dream of doing super cool tricks stuck in my brain!
I was wondering how you got hooked up with a trainer. I have experience in trick riding and want to get back into it. Im at a loss for how to find a trainer. I dont have horses now so Im out of the loop. Thanks for any help you can give me. My email is usmcsimmons2004@yahoo.com
thanks,
Jennifer
Sorry Jennifer, I'm not a trick rider, it was just a childhood dream. I DO ride and if you would like help finding a good trainer in your area I can help you find someone like that. Maybe someday I'll get into trick riding, as for now, I really just am fascinated by equine behavior and pretty much everything that horses do is enough for me right now.

I wouldn't be brave enough to do this myself, but it is spectacular to watch!
