How Attraction Marketing can explode your Network Marketing Business.

Network Marketing, an amazing opportunity to work at home and earn more money than in traditional jobs. Even if you are one of the lucky ones who works for themselves, network marketing offers something that you can not find in your traditional business. Time freedom.

Network Marketing offers a way to start your own business, at home. There is very little start up cost compared to starting a traditional business. There is no need for an office, away from home. Set one up at home. There is no over head, insurance, workers comp, employees. Think about everything involved in starting a traditional business.

I'll use me for an example. I own and opperate a beauty salon. It cost me ten thousand dollars to buy it. Then I had to rent the space, which was $600.00 per month, 13 years ago. I had to have liability insurance, buy supplies every month, pay for heat, hot water, electricity and TV. This all added up to about, $800.00 to $1000.00 per month. This all came out of my earnings before I got paid. So as small as my business is, can you see how expensive it can be to start one.

I have since moved my business into my house so my overhead is down significantly. I do still have insurance and have to buy supplies, but I actually take home a paycheck now.

Network marketing on the other hand is quite different.

When starting a network marketing, home based business, you do need to ask yourself some questions.

There are so many business opportunities out there. How can you decide which one is right for you?

Selecting the right kind of business can be a difficult process for anyone looking for a home business. Lots of people dream of starting their own business, but never get any further than dreaming about it because they do not know which business would be best for them. The Internet offers a HUGE variety of options for working at home, but how do you decide which ones are legitimate opportunities, which ones are hype, and how to find one that is just right for you?

Here are some tips on finding the home business that is most suited for you.

EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS AND GET EDUCATED

Instead of choosing the first business that comes along, take some time to explore various options. Look into other business ideas as well. Read books containing ideas for possible home-based or small business, trade magazine articles on trends and market demands.

DOES THE BUSINESS HAVE POTENTIAL OF LONG TERM GROWTH?

If you are looking at a company to join with as an independent representative, how long has the company been around? If the company is less than 3 years old, the failure rate is much higher. You don't want to spend time and money building a business only to have the company go out of business and you are left hanging. On the other hand, if the company has been around for a long time, a lot of people may have heard of it and have preconceived ideas about it. Also, the company may have gone through it's peak period of growth, which will make it harder for you to grow you business.

WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS APPEALS TO YOU MOST

Determine your goals, interests, wants and capabilities. The important thing is that you must enjoy your business. The most successful entrepreneurs feel passionate about what they are doing. You cannot feel passionate (and hence more driven) about your business if you do not like it!

FIND A BUSINESS THAT IS PROFITABLE AS WELL AS PERSONALLY SATISFYING

While you may have a passion for your hobby or craft, always consider it's possible business potentials. Do you think there might be a demand for it? Is it a unique product or service that can't be obtained easier or cheaper some where else? Will it bring you recurring income? Is the market already saturated with it? Are there too many barriers to getting started.Start a business that you think has a solid potential to be profitable.

CAN YOU HANDLE ALL ASPECTS OF THE BUSINESS YOURSELF

In a traditional small business, when you start your new small business, you may not have to luxury of a full time staff to help out in some aspects of the business, or you may not want to hassles of hiring and dealing with employees. Instead of focusing all your energy on building the business, you may have to do it all, collect receivables, track expenses, cold call customers and do a thousand other tasks on a daily basis. Be aware of all the tasks you will have to do to keep your business going. Can you leverage your time? Can you delegate to others. Is there added expense in doing so or is it one of the benefits of the business?

CAN YOU CREATE RESIDUAL INCOME

If you want to improve your finances and lifestyle with your business, you have to be able to leverage your time and created an income that continues to come in whether you are able to work or not. Any business will take time and effort to build but after about 5 years you should be able to cut back your work time and still have your income continue and grow. You don't want to be putting in more hours that your former job and have no free time. A business where you can leverage your time will allow you to back off a bit after it is built.

WHERE WILL YOUR WORK AREA BE AND DOES THE AREA YOU HAVE FIT THE BUSINESS

Draw a layout of your intended work area to see how it will fit into it's allotted space in your house. Remember, you are starting a business at home to save on overhead expenses, so make use of every nook and cranny that you can. If you want to start a cake making business, you will need a large kitchen. Don't even think about starting a dance instructing business if you life in a studio apartment. Make sure you designate an area specifically for your business for tax reasons. You don't have to have a separate room, but you will be able to deduct a percentage of your mortgage or rent and utilities if the area is used exclusively for business.(See article in "Entrepreneur Magazine" for more on this subject)

ARE THERE ANY EXTRA RISKS OR EXPENSES

Some businesses may require insurance. Check with an insurance agent to determine the kind of insurance your type of business is going to require. It is good planning to determine what insurance is necessary to minimize your risks and protect your business.General categories of insurance include property, licensing, liability, health, disability, worker's compensation and life insurance.

ARE THERE ZONING CHALLENGES WITH YOUR BUSINESS

Traditional small businesses may be affected by zoning laws and ordinances in your area. Visit your city hall or the planning office to see whether zoning regulations would prevent you from selecting a specific location. Carefully note the regulations governing business signs and types of businesses allowed at different locations. You do not want city hall folks to come knocking at your door asking you to cease operations after you have spent thousands decorating and equipping your business! For the most part, if you don't have a large amount of customers or clients coming to your home, or have parking issues, you should be fine. For the Network Marketing Business, this is really not a problem.

DOES THE BUSINESS FIT WELL WITH YOUR FAMILY AND LIFESTYLE

Select a business whose organizational characteristics are compatible with your self and you family. You should select a business that fits well into the schedule of your family. If you have a newborn baby in the house and your husband works full time, you should look for a business that will allow you to take care of your baby. Can you work primarily from home using the telephone and computer? If you have been home all day with the kids, letting dad have some time with the kids and having an hour or two away from home a couple of evenings a week may be a benefit.

CAN YOUR FAMILY BECOME INVOLVED IN THE BUSINESS

If possible, get your family members involved in the business and have fun together working for it's success. You can ask your kids to help in the packing of your product. Your teen can help design your website. Your spouse can help with negotiating with your clients. Having a home business so a tremendous learning experience for your children, so if you can find a business in which your family can become involved, it will benefit everyone.
