When To Give Up On An Intention
59Is it time for you to give up on an intention?
This is a tough one to answer.
It seems as if much of the information on line about manifesting or deliberate creating ignores the issue that some intentions just don't come.
This is my take on it.
I do believe that our intentions are reflective of what we truly desire in our lives at the time that we make them. These ideas that come to us seem reasonable and desirable and when we first make the intention, we are so hopeful and full of enthusiasm for the totality of possibility that holds the basis for our hopes
After weeks, months or even years, when the intention is a no-show...how many of us can get in touch with that enthusiasm anymore. That is a good sign that the intention needs revisiting.
Take a long term intention and bring it out and look at it. Why do you want it? How would having it be played out in your life? Do you believe there exists a field of possibility and that anything can happen at any time.
If you feel energized after retooling that original intention, keep it and keep trusting in the field of possibility. If, however, you decide to let it go or change it in someway, great.
Changing your mind is a sure sign of vibrational maturity. We are actually supposed to change our minds. When you change your mindset and perspective on what will bring you the most joy and heart satisfaction, you actually strengthen your ability to empower the very intentions you are creating.
No, I don't know why your intentions aren't happening. I do know that choosing when to let go is empowering. If indeed the desire that birthed the intention is still alive, a new more specific rendition of that intention will come out at the end.
A mindful look at old intentions will always bear fruit for you. Remember, if the desire for the intention is still alive, you have nothing to lose. A new expression of that desire may be just what the doctor ordered.
