When We Get Healthcare, What's Next? A Run On The Dollar

Healthcare - Now Government Will Decide What Medical Breakthroughs We Can Have

Washington's healthcare won't just affect who pays the bills, but who decides what innovations we can work on.

Students Wonder Why They Voted For Obama

Eighteen million young Americans voted for the Democrats and now wonder about that choice.

Healthcare, Cap & Tax, VAT Tax

Why Do Democrats Love Expensive Bills We Can't Afford

  • They love big government
  • The poor needs help
  • Other countries have things like healcare and VAT taxes
  • This is an opportunity too good to pass up (Rahm Emanuel's words)
  • They don't know how to run anything
  • They want to ruin capitalism and our freedoms
  • Obama has messmerized them
  • All of the above

Obama-Care Puts Medicine At Risk

Congress recently passed Nancy Pelosi health insurance, a type that will quickly morph into single payer unless the Senate can stop it. Has anyone asked why?

· Why do we want Washington telling us we must buy their brand of coverage?

· Why do we want them to have power to throw us in jail if we refuse this coverage?

· Why should we have to pay a thousand bucks if we decide against being covered?

Most of America’s eighteen million college students voted for Obama because he looked good. Now he has a knife at their throats, ready to send these kids to jail if they don’t buy his health insurance and he no longer looks good. Is it any wonder that his popularity stinks?

Makes no sense, does it?

That’s not even good PR for the next election, but Obama and Pelosi have been known to be non-thinkers.

Take what they are doing to our dollar, for example. Tossing another trillion-four onto our already staggering national debt means nothing.

There Goes Medical Innovation

It takes a long time to discover and develop new treatments and drugs. Government control will stifle such pursuits.
It takes a long time to discover and develop new treatments and drugs. Government control will stifle such pursuits.

Another Healthcare Concern

Away with our demand economy, where customers decide what should be invented. What good is technology if we are not allowed to use it? In the future government will have to approve all new healthcare innovations before they can be invented.

The FDA already does a “good” job of slowing the process. It will be worse later. Government’s command economy dalliance will place a time lag on everything. Technology breakthroughs will take years to produce, and may never be produced by America, and by then Japan or some other country will have perfected and produced it right under our nose.

Technology is time sensitive. Scientists must be allowed to expatiate and experiment at their own rate for breakthroughs in science to come forth and become of most use to us. This is most evident in the medical industry with the MRI and the ULTRASOUND and also many operational procedures that even with our current capitalistic system we invent and Japan reaps the benefits. Things will be even worse with government healthcare, believe me.

And can you believe that phony American Medical Association (AMA) that wants Congress to legalize marijuana? Don’t they know it’s a gateway drug? If Congress falls for that nonsense it will lead to a nation of drug addicts.

Two Men, One Idea: Confuse Americans

My Biggest Worry

It’s not just healthcare, but what about the new Value Added Tax that’s coming, and Cap and Trade that’s already been passed by the House? They all promise higher taxes, more unemployment (now at 17.5 percent or 10.2 percent, depending on how you look at it), and staggeringly higher budget deficits that even our grandchildren can never pay back. You know what that means – it means we are destined to always be a debtor nation with monopoly money.

Monetary experts now warn, "We're in the terminal stages of the world's most gigantic pyramid scheme." Who needed Bernie Madoff for that? We’ve got Gaithner and Obama. It’s the coming collapse of the once-mighty U.S. Dollar  that will render the dollar virtually worthless and ruin our kids’ futures.

Where Obama Gets His Ideas

When Will We Need A Wheelbarrow Of Money To Buy A Sack Of Groceries?

Virtually Worthless!

The U.S. dollar is already down one-third against other world currencies since 2002 – heading at breakneck speed for a precipitous and historic crash.

Anyone holding dollars or dollar-denominated assets is sitting on a ticking time bomb, and the fuse is burning short. There isn't a moment to lose before we see a worldwide rush to the exits.

Thanks to Washington and Wall Street, the dollar is on the verge of spinning wildly out of control, leading to massive inflation and quite possibly, a sudden and catastrophic dollar collapse that will change our nation forever.

Government regulators are systematically destroying, seizing, and otherwise transferring to federal control trillions of dollars in private assets. The all-but-certain impact on our currency, Americans’ purchasing power and our standard of living could be both sudden and devastating.

Should We Be Buying Gold To Offset The Falling Dollar?

We’re Broke, Folks

While the Obama administration is frantically borrowing and spending in a manic effort to re-inflate the decimated stock and housing markets, the government itself is rapidly going broke. America has been off the gold standard for 38 years, but now some in Washington and Wall Street wish we could return to the pre-Nixon era when America's stash of gold at Fort Knox was second to none in the world.

In a recent cable news interview during which he tried to rationalize his multi-trillion dollar spending spree, President Obama conceded with a chuckle,"we are out of money now. We're operating in deep deficits..."

When the dollar falls to near zero, you have nothing left to back it with but Obama posturing, excuses, and finger pointing at the Republicans (which this time is quite ridiculous) and the Treasury's promise to print more worthless dollars. When will this monopoly money make a banana republic of the United States? Or are we already there?

It appears to me that when Obama said he wanted to transform America he meant it! You said we could become a Banana Republic, and I believe we will be there in less than one year. The Rich who play with Obama will get much richer, the poor will be dieing of starvation as they did

in China, under Mao Zedong.. Maybe our poor will get to the point of Major Hasan and look at death as a reward for life.

12 states are going bankrupt by the end of this year. the true unemployment numbers are 27%. Millions of homes have been forclosed. Thousands of companies have stated they will be laying off by the end of this year (my recent hub). Even the Texas governor said we are headed towards socialism. Funny how everyone can see it but the left. Good Hub!

32 states now have legislation to secede from the Union. The Health Care reform is also unconstitutional. Obama being born a British subject means he is a Usurper and not a legitimate President, because he does not meet the Constitutional requirement of being a "natural born citizen" (2 American parents, born on American soil)Any legislation he has signed is null and void, and he is null and void.

Well Don, remember what the history and one of the message of The Book of Mormom and the blessing of this land, when you are righteous you will florish, but when you let pride take over, and become unrighteous you will not be blessed and you will lose your freedoms. Well, you can tell what stage we are in.

Keep on hubbing.

Thanks, Great American, and you are right. In the world of Obama the rich he likes get richer and the rest of us sit on the sidelines and wither away. That's what he thinks, but let's not leave it at that. We must never retreat, continue to fight for our rights and freedoms. Don White

Thanks, Jiberish, I always love and respect your viewpoints and they coincide exactly with mine. I think some are saying 17.5 percent unemployment when you consider those who were looking for a full-time job and took much less plus those who just got tired of looking and are living with their parents again. Twenty-seven is probably more like the actual figure. If it isn't there now it will be in six months. I don't see this getting better for quite a while unless Obama wakes up and 1)cuts taxes (that means he better abandon his VAT Tax, Cap and Trade, and Healthcare, which he won't) and 2) stop doing these zanny bailouts and stimulus shots in the unions and ACORNS arms - in other words, stop running for office, stop paying back those who elected you. Good comment. Don White

Vrajavala, thank you for your comments. Do you happen to know what's going on with the Supreme Court on Obama's birthplace? I had heard they had accepted it and were going to rule? Anyone know what's going on? Thanks for your insight. Don White

Thanks, Ed, for that insight. In a conversation with some of my sons and wife we discussed why church officials had not come out stronger regarding loss of our freedoms. We were wondering why a revelation from the Lord "may not" have been given to unite the brethren and to do something....but one comment was, well, maybe we're in that two minute period of no communication before the Lord comes. Worthy of contemplation, wouldn't you say? Don White

This is the ruination of our nation, brother. I might just get off the grid. Everything you said is true. And God bless you for saying it. I just hope it's not too late.

James, thanks, as ever, for your interest in these things. We had all better be interested, it's the ruination of our great nation if it continues. Don White

Great hub, wished that there were more comments, indicating more interest.

I agree with all that you wrote.

The biggest problem in healthcare is ithat the government excludes itself and its workers from it. They have always had their own very expensive to the taxpayer benefits, including healthcare.

The government and Congress especially don't feel the pain of the legislation that they pass. The government is the public servant of the people, yet they receive the benefits that we pay for, but can't get for ourselves.

Most of the legislation that is beneficial for the people happen because it personally affected a Congressmen, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act of the 1970s. In order to improve Healthcare in this country the politicians need to personally experience our healthcare.

As for your other comment about the FDA and the Government limiting healthcare cures, this was the domain of the drug companies and their veracious profit appetite. So replacing the drug companies with the government is a push.

The drug patents and the goal of drug companies is to maixmize profits. To do this they invent lifelong treatments but not cures. The last real medical cure was the Salk Vaccine in the early 1950s before the FDA got really involved in the system.

The biggest problem in this country that causes the sad state it is in today is it is populated by sheep. Sheep are herded and kept busy by the herders. Sheep also can't comment on these hubs because sheep can't think and write.

In my view, this country as well as many in others in the world are comprised of sheep, herders and foxes. The rarest of them being the fox. The herders herd the sheep in whatever direction that they want them to go.

The foxes are non sheep individual thinkers that are immune to the herders. They are a very small group and while they can cut a few sheep out of the herd, they have no real effect on the herd.

The sheep are the silent majority and they are good followers.

Can hubs wake the sheep?

Thanks, Sad Duck, for your great comments. You are so right. Drug companies are in it for the bucks. They DO invent life-long treatments, but seldom invent the cures. It is a sad thing that more people don't stand up and be heard against this health care stupidity that Washington is cramming down our throats. Thanks, Don White

So sorry, Opinion Duck. I put in your wrong name and went to correct it and they've changed things on Hub. You no longer have five minutes to correct things. Just the same, it was a flip of the lid - my mistake - and I apologize for using the wrong name for you. Please feel free to become a fan of mine. I would like to see your picture next time, and I'll become your fan. Don White dusanotes

Don

I have that same problem of not being able to make a change after I post the comment. I thought it was just because I wasn't a hubber.

Thanks for your correction.
