When You Feel Sorry for Yourself, Look at This.
67One day I was feeling blue and useless. I was browsing the web and came across a naked mole-rat picture. A thought struck me- hey, I should be thankful to God that he made me in my own body. The day seemed better and my mood went up.
So if
you are having a bad day and feeling sorry for yourself, remember:
You could look like these creatures, whom only their mother can love!
Blobfish
This is a blobfish that lives off Australia and Tasmania. It mainly is a "gelatinous mass." Because it is slightly less dense than water, the fish floats above the sea floor and eats what floats by.
Doesn't it look cute and disgusting at the same time?
Dumbo Octopus
This one is really touching.
The Dumbo Octopus can be found in any ocean upto approximately 7,000 meters below sea level.
The Dumbo Octopus though not large, prefers to swallow its prey whole. When down on the sea bed Dumbo Octopus will feast mainly on worms and crustaceans, and when away from the sea bed they will eat pelagic cope-pods.
Aye-aye
The Aye-aye is one of many unusual animals found in Madagascar. It's odd appearance causes him troubles. People chase him away as to the Malagasy people, the Aye-aye is magical, and is believed to bring death to the village it appears in.
Naked mole rat
And this one is really really ugly, no cuteness to my taste.....
Naked mole-rats spend virtually their entire lives in the total darkness of underground burrows. Naked mole-rats live in the horn of Africa, including parts of Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya. They live in large colonies, presided over by a queen, in which only the queen and a few select males breed while the rest of the colony—all members of the same family—work together to raise young and maintain the colony.
hairy or bold?
Angora rabbit,
Komondor dog,
Sphynx kitten......
and other animals that only their mother can love.....

- BBC - Science & Nature - Sea Life - Fact files: Dumbo octopus
These charming deep sea octopus get their common name from their paired fins that look like elephant ears. They are found to considerable depths - one was sighted at 7,000m, the deepest depth of any cephalopod. - Aye-Aye, Aye-Aye Profile, Facts, Information, Photos, Pictures, Sounds, Habitats, Reports, News - Na

LOL
blobfish - just yuck, as far as I'm concerned, not cute. "A face only a mother could love"
Goodness, don't think I'd like to run into any of those creatures in the dark!
Actually, they are all cute in a sad endearing kind of way--only mothers can love--well said.
Thanks for checking out these wonderful creatures! Everyone wants to live and be loved, even the odd looking ones :)
Wowee this was great and sooo different, loved it.
Great title. After looking at these creatures, I'm glad to be me! haha!
blondepoet, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Dottie, thank you and same here. I am glad to be me.
very interesting! you forgot one: pugs! they're dogs that so ugly but they're cute, too! =)
Amazing... these creatures are very interesting. :)
haha lovely...thank goodness i don't look like that blobfish especially...he actually reminds me of a famous actor from back in the early days...charlie chaplin...poor charlie who wants to be equated to a blobfish
Funny assosiation, LOL. Poor Charlie....
Blobfish looks so pathetic.... Actually, any animal would look weird if we were not familiar with them. Think about seeing, say, giraffe for the first time...
true i remember the first time i saw them bend down to sleep...I remember asking my mom if they slept standing up because of their long legs and necks...
the blob fish also reminds me of another famous character...its something like jimmy dean...he always had a cigar in his mouth that is what i remember
Wow, you have wild imagination, MIJ. Jimmy Dean.....Is this the one connected also with food brand? May be that's why this resemblance, sausages and like....LOL
hahaha lol your funny...maybe i was thinking sausages...i was hungry..oops...i don't recall his name...i'll have to search for him...all i know his he had this crazy voice and always had a cigar. and said "you see" alot
I'd have to search too, as I don't really know a lot of local stuff (after all, I live in US only for 8 years....)
:) thats cool, I don't know alot of local stuff and I have lived her most my life :(
Wow - this is so funny! I love it! You made my day.
Patti, I am glad I did :)
