Where Do Al Gore's True Loyalties Lie?
70What About The American Taxpayer?
I first heard Dr. Michael Savage of "The Savage Nation" allude to the story. It stimulated my curiosity enough to do some follow-up research. It is an outrageous story, yet the vast preponderance of America's news media have remained dutifully silent about it. The news coverage that I have seen has come from the WALL STREET JOURNAL website of late September, 2009. In an article entitled "Gore-Backed Car Firm Gets Large U. S. Loan", reporters Josh Mitchell and Stephen Power go into some detail about how a $529 million "loan" has been made by the American government ( I prefer taxpayer ) to Fisker Automotive, Inc., a California start-up company, to build an $89,000 sports car in Finland. A half-billion "loan" ( let's call it a gift because it will never be repaid ) by the strapped American taxpayer to build an automobile plant in Finland for the production of a sports car that most of them will probably never see much less experience. It can also be considered a gift because nobody knows who is guaranteeing that the loan will be repaid. One of Fisker's top investor's is the capital venture firm of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Guess who is a partner within this capital venture firm? You guessed it! None other than former Vice-President Al Gore. The American taxpayer has received the assurance from the Department of Energy that Mr. Gore had absolutely no influence on Fisker's receiving the half-bilion dollar "loan". Of course, he didn't! After all, how many sixty-one year old men can help obtain a half-billion dollar "loan" much less help to repay it? The old saying goes that " it's not what you know but who you know". Henrik Fisker, a Dane, of Fisker Automotive, Inc., knows former Vice-President and current environmental bigwig Albert Gore, Jr. Al Gore has been around the Federal Government his entire life and has developed an acuity for placing an ample dipper under the leaky government bucket to retrieve all manner of taxpayer largesse. His father, Albert Gore, Sr., served in the House of Representatives from 1939-52 and in the Senate from 1952-70. Al Gore himself served in the House from 1977-85, the Senate from 1985-93 and Vice-Presidency from 1993-2001. Gore, Jr., lost the famous 2001 Presidential election to George W. Bush of Texas. Both Gore's, of course, represented Tennessee in the House and Senate. One can readily see that Gore has had his bread buttered all of his lifetime by the American taxpayer. Since 2001, Gore has become something of a self-styled environmentalist and climate change specialist ( be it global warming one year or global cooling the next ). So why is this facility being built in Finland and not in America? Did the Finns put up any money for this facility? If they did, this too is being kept quiet. There are presently ample swaths of America that are experiencing 15%-20% unemployment and an automobile plant in their community would raise their standard of living immensely. The entire state of Michigan is an economic basket case! How many jobs could be created around Detroit by the new Fisker plant? Why didn't Gore demand that this American taxpayer financed facility be located in the States? Nothing against the Finns, but let them finance their own automobile factories! Once again, the lowly American taxpayer is being browbeaten by Washington political insiders for a foreign nation's gain. Do people like Al Gore really give a damn any longer for America or are they here just to milk it? They don't seem the least bit concerned about any public relations fiasco. Is it any wonder that there is rising citizen anger and distrust against the national government? Is it any wonder that middle America is organizing "tea parties" against government policies? Is it any wonder that the American taxpayer has been vehemently opposed to bailing out big banks and big business in the past year? Is there really any question as to why that there has been a firearms and ammunition shortage in America over the past year ( Hint: it isn't because of rising neighborhood crime or an avid increase in hunting. )? The American taxpayer has a profound distrust of Washington precisely because people like Al Gore have been sucking on the taxpayer's nipple for so long! The American people work long, hard hours and their fuse is short when it comes to being legally robbed by the Federal, State and local governments. Are the politicians bright enough to realize the extent of the contempt to which they are held by Americans? Do the politicians really care? After all, how many of them return to their home states after their stints in public office? Al Gore is a prime example. He maintains a token residence in Tennessee. Bill Clinton never goes back to Arkansas. Elizabeth Dole never returns to North Carolina. There's just too much easy money to be made off of the American taxpayer! Who knows? The day may come when all of the former politicians flock to Finland for their OWN good! To which many Americans will say "GOOD RIDDANCE"!

Perhaps. More likely, however, is that it would be a tree! Thanks, Habee!
