As the economy contracts and state budgets shrink, many school districts are faced with an unfamiliar chore, budget tightening.  For the prospective teacher this is not a good situation.  School districts are not hiring, and prospective retirees are hanging on, waiting for the stock market to reconstitute their decimated retirement funds.  Is it an impossible job situation? Absolutely not.   Teachers are still needed, you just have to know where to look.   Where then does one look for these teaching jobs? It's simple, really, go to where the people are going.  Urban areas that are experiencing rapid growth are the best areas to find school districts hungry for teachers.  Here is short list of the ten fastest growing urban areas in America and the employment information for their corresponding school districts.
