Where to lay my weary head ?

Mountain tops or bottom seas

I need to find some rest and ease

Where to hang my beating heart ?

Some place quiet is a start

Hide it in a treasure box

Find it when the stress is gone

Where do I walk with tired feet ?

On a lonely desolate beach

A far away island retreat

To the ends of the world

Where lost souls search for the path of gold

Before the Cross where Jesus died

Beg and plead for peace tonight

I am tired and need some peace

A road to follow that is a breeze

Fresh air and warming sun

Guide me to a place

I can call home

Ease my thoughts and set them free

Release the worry deep inside of me

Wash away the fear and doubt

Clean new slate

Brand new paint

Make a picture pure and simple

The road not covered with holes and pebbles

Grass is green

And flowers bloom

Their sweet scent releases love

God's gentle kiss from above

Not laden with the stress and turmoil

Storms that wind in clear blue skies
