Where Will It All End?

President Obama has been in office for about three months now, and his ratings, since taking office, have dropped dramatically. Just 39%, of the nations voters, strongly approve of the way President Obama has handled the situation in America compared to an 83% approval rating before he was elected president.
Wow! How fast things can change.People were touting Obama as the next best thing since sliced bread. Some comparing him to presidents Kennedy and Lincoln, and all this before he even stepped into the ring.
On the heals of the AIG bonus payments, the new administration has been taking some huge hits. Our economy on the brink of a total colapse, and the government printing and spending money like it was growing on trees, President Obama appeared on the tonight show, hosted by Jay Leno .Laughing and joking with Jay and having a great fun night, while many people in our country are struggling right now to know, how much do you need? He took a big hit for that one.
Duke University men's basketball coach, Mike Krzyzewski, who has coached this team for the past thirty years, as he prepares his team for their NCAA tournament battle, said while watching the news media showing President Obama's picks for the winners of the tournament, thought the president should be back at the White House preparing a policy to get our country out of this economic recession that were in. Imagine, a basketball coach, giving the president of the United States, some timely advice.
This economy is getting really bad. I saw a special on TV, where doctors, lawyers, and people, who were used to making a very good living, are out on the street, or will soon be. A man who worked on wall street, making about 750,000 dollars a year, was about to lose everything. He was working a job delivering pizzas.
I know that it is not as bad as it was when we were in the great depression, back in the 1930's, but something has to happen, and has to happen soon. People need help, and they need it now.
People are upset, and rightly so, when you have a stimulus plan that is throwing all our hard earned money back to the people, who got us into this mess in the first place. And what is the first thing they do with your money and my money, they give out bonus'. Yes we need a vacation and a reward for all that hard work. It isn't easy to take down the largest Insurance company in the world. I don't know about you, but I always thought that if you were hired to do a job and you don't do that job, you get FIRED! Not given a bonus!
Why aren't they helping people with their mortgages? Like United First Financial does. Getting mortgages paid off. Getting people out of debt, not back in it!
Well it looks like there were others who got money from the government, and they also were rewarded with bonus', but AIG is the only one who is being used as the scape goat. Which is against our constitution. You can't just punish one, you have to go after all of them. We will see how far this goes.
The administration says they didn't know and AIG will have to give the money back. Christopher Dodd says that he didn't know either. But... wait a minute. Barack Obama did get a nice sizable gift from AIG during his campaign run for the office of president, and.... just another minute here. Senator Dodd got a nice gift as well. Wait a minute...Something doesn't sound right.
I think we are just getting a glimpse into how this new administration is going to run this country. It is full of chaos, finger pointing, no one willing to step up to the plate, but everybody running to their corners. Their liars, they are corrupt, law breakers. They all have their hands in the cookie jar. They want you to obey the rules, but they don't have too.
Before the ink was dry on the paper, some of Obama's cabinet appointees, were in trouble for not paying all of their taxes. Some are already calling for the firing of Secretary of the Tresury, Tim Geithner. This guy looks like a little boy lost on his first day of school. This is the guy who is running are country's finances! Whooo, that is scary.
With all that said, I am one who says, lets wait, and give president Obama, and his policies a chance...... lets just wait a bit more.......give the guy a chance........it's going to be ok, right?......it will all work out, right?
oh,boy....................Where will it all end?

Thanks for your comment Bill.
I hope he does a great job. I am all for him, but he's not coming out of the gate to well right now. Just have to wait and see.
President is going to be great. Hm. Do you have any idea we are facing 3 trillion dollars deficit? In ten years it would be 10 trillion. Does it mean is it great? It is too sad. It is not time to joke.
Thanks Brian for your good hub.
Thanks Vladimir for the comment.
I love reading your hubs. Always good to hear from you my friend.
Oh come ON, people. Obama himself said recovery is NOT going to happen overnight. Gee whiz. Cultivate some patience will ya?
Yes, the AIG thing is a problem.
Yes, Obama just happens to be the President at this point in time.
Herbert Hoover was in office when the Depression went down and he was a convenient scapegoat because no laws were in place to keep people's money safe (remember the FDIC was created AFTER the Depression), AND no one wanted to take responsibility for their own financial screw-ups in the previous decade. Hoover was NOT at fault. He was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it would have been the same way with any other person.
Considering the kind of mess Obama knew he was inheriting, he is doing what any smart person would do in the same circumstances: calm on the exterior and paddling like hell underneath. He's human, like the rest of us.
So give him a break.
Geez.
Take it easy Bardscribe, I'm not jumping ship yet, but what I don't like seeing is the two ways of governing. It's not OK for AIG to get bonus', but it is for others. That is not constitutional. AIG will probably get to keep their bonus', unless they volunteer to give them back. All the Obama talks were just window dressing to save his face in front of the American people. That is playing favorites, and you can't do that. Obama is not the only one who knew about all this. A lot of our senators and congressmen knew this was going on.
Our government, and corporate America has lost all signs of integrity, at all levels, and we must get back to that, or we will never see the light at the end of the tunnel, we will just see the end of the tunnel.
Thanks for your comment BardScribe. I appreciate your input.
Brian, now you know people have eyes and don't see. Obama inherited blind people, not something else.
We see only what we want to see Vladimir. America needs to wake up and look in the mirror at the truth.
They have eyes and don't see, they have ears and don't hear. In other words, it is much easier and much more convenient this way. Then it will be too late....
One thing that I can say in my personal defence is that I didn't put a finger into it, I didn't vote for him. Not a big comfort anyway...
Great hub, Brian.

Your facts are wrong.Krzyzewski never said the President should be back in Washington.
The exact quote was, "Somebody said we’re not in President Obama’s Final Four. As much as I respect what he’s done, really the economy is something that he should focus on, probably more than the brackets. So why would I care about that? I love the guy and I think he’s going to be great."
You imply that Coach K was criticizing the President.
Did you actually watch and listen to what he said and how he said it? HE WAS JOKING. Today he clarified his comments for people like you who were taking them out of context. He was poking fun because the President didn't pick his team. His tounge was firmly in his cheek.
It is called sarcasm.
