Where do you find information to make your own Christmas Ornaments

When it comes to Christmas, my children always like to have things to make and I always go looking online to find anything from coloring in sheets to bead work or more complicated things. I am going to list my most helpful places to find Christmas crafts for all ages

PreSchool and Young Children

For preschool and infants (ages 2-7) one of the best places I have found is DLTK's there is an enormous range of different crafts for all occasions. Everything is arranged by subject and most are printable. Decorating old CD's with glitter to hang them up outdoors is great for the little ones. There is just so much choice you probably don't need to look anywhere else for this age range. But if you do another place to try is Kaboose.

For the adults who are interested in Christmas crafts there is a site called Christmas Crafts that has a long list of different more grown up things to make. My favorite Christmas projects are beaded Christmas themed earrings, this requires some skill in bead work, but patterns are available from Beaded Images (most of the patterns cost a small amount), and they are great when made up. My other favourite Christmas craft is a calico angel,made many years ago from strips of calico to make the body, a real country Christmas ornament.

The above picture is a Swarovski crystal pendant made for my daughter for Christmas last year.  The wire is silver and I purchased the beads from Beadaholique online bead store. It came up very well, but could equally be used as an ornament on the tree or on a bon bon or Christmas cracker.
