Both of these are good text book answers, but wheres the fun in all of that? I'm sure you have all seen the hypnosis tricks with telling the person they are a chicken and they act like one, basically they obey what they are told right? Hypnosis doesn't work exactly like that but it is a type of hypnosis and can be done.

Well thats a small form of hypnosis you were in a sleep like state but not exactly because you were not completely relaxed chances are and where not subject to suggestion. Sensations that occur while being hypnotized vary greatly from person to person from a feeling of euphoria or complete relaxation to detachment from the body. There are some individuals that may not even know that they are being hypnotized though and neither will anyone else due to their "trance state" being fully aware and able to speak during it as if they were not being hypnotized.

Researchers don't even fully understand why this is, why hypnosis is different from person to person so much, and why can't every be hypnotized? There are too many factors that seem to affect it to be able to put it to a science that isn't to say that there aren't people that apply hypnosis to make other peoples live better everyday because they do. If we did have a better understanding of how it worked though imagine what we could accomplish.

Chances are you can, a great majority of people who said they can't be hypnotized actually could be. approximately 10-12% of adults are hard if not impossible to hypnotise so you are probably able to be hypnotised. Children are a lot easier to get sucked into hypnosis. If you are lost to dream and fantasy easily you are easier to hypnotise which is a good news for day dreamers!

Another good way to check if their business is legit is to search the Better Business Bureau database for their company name if they have one and see if they have had any complaints filed against them.

There are some places that you can get a diploma and work as a hypnotherapist for going through their 100+ hour seminars. Most of you will not be interested in these whatsoever so be mindful of what degree of hypnosis the site is offering you.
