Our clueless secretary of state clinton held a conference call after obama's cairo speech.  the purpose of the call was to bring muslims together. One man invited to the event was esam Omeish.  He is a doctor and community leader.  He is also running for the virginia state legislature.  In 2000, at a pro palestinian rally, he spoke against israel and urged all muslims to support the palestinian effort.  He then went on to say that the "palestinians  have learned the way, and the way to liberating the land was Jihad".  He pledged his help and support.  He was forced to resign from his position on the VA. state immigration comission as a result of his remarks being recounted in 2007.  Now, he runs for the state assembly despite his past rheroric and obvious beliefs.  He cites influential muslim politicians and civic leaders, as well as his participation in the conference call as reasons to vote for him.  As expected the State dept had no answer as to why this man with his background was included in the conference.  His position during the conference was support for obama and the need for more muslims in america to gain political power.  Really, just what we need a pro jihadi in state govt.  I guess he will not state that one of the goals of this worldwide jihad is the elimination of Israel and the united states.  Will people actually be voting for this guy?   what is happening in virginia to make this even remotely possible?  People with views like his need to be kept as far away from seats of power as possible, not encouraged to run and be called in as part of a solution.
