Diamond ring for your beloved that doesn't burn holes in your pocket

Choosing an engagement ring is never an easy task. It is a piece of jewelry that your sweetheart will wear for the rest of her life as a token of your undying love for her. Though a diamond is forever, you don't intend to keep paying for it forever, do you? In that case you could go for second hand rings that are in fact as good as new.

There are several sites that have previously owned diamond engagement rings up for sale. Broken engagements, divorces or death of spouse force many people to put slightly used engagement rings up for sale. There are people who put up their rings for sale because they want to upgrade their rings. So, if you know where to look for them, you can get hold of engagement rings that are as good as new, at much lower prices. There are a number of online shopping sites that sell slightly used engagement rings.

It is quite natural if you are apprehensive about the idea of buying such expensive stuff as diamonds, on the internet. But if you watch out for a few things, you can hit some great bargains. Steer clear of ones that claim to come at prices that are too good to be true. Huge claims about service and quality that are not backed by money back guarantee should also be approached with caution. Make sure there are no hidden charges that get added on at the last minute.

Idonowidont.com is a perfect site where you can get hold of second hand diamond rings. All you need to do is log on to the site and hit search for what you are looking for. Once you hit upon the style and price you are looking for, place a bid on the ring. However, see to it that you keep track of the bidding, as others will be bidding against you. The bid naturally goes to the highest bidder. Once the auction is over, you can send the money through Pay pal. Every piece of jewelry that is put on auction is inspected by a jeweler and 100% authenticity is guaranteed. The site even offers a money back guarantee in case you are unsure about the authenticity. You could also try searching in the jewelry section of eBay.com for second hand diamond engagement rings. By shopping at eBay you can be assured of buyer protection and authentic goods.

However, always take care to set a realistic budget as even the cheapest diamond ring will not be as cheap as you would like it to be. Traditional guidelines set two months salary as an effective measure of the amount to be spent on a wedding ring. And that, for sure is not too much to secure a bond for a lifetime!

I did a little research and found out that some companies that purchase jewelry will resell at wholesale prices. Check out ASE Metal Recovery. I called them and ended up buying a gorgeous 1/3 karat marquis ring at a fraction of what I saw them for in jewelry stores. They don't mention anything on their web site (http://www.asemetals.com) so you'll probably have to call.
