Which Operating System is good for your PC
56PC users might have heard about the different flavors of the operating systems. Choosing a particular OS for your pc should be your choice and you should move to them only until after you have convinced yourself that you can comfortably work with it.
The main competitor to the mainstream OS Windows is Linux. Most of the Linux versions are free for personal and some of them are free for commercial usage too. Linux is known to be an open source OS because the source code or the basic coding of the OS is done publicly by a large number of people. Hence this OS features hosts lots of features which can never ever be found in the other OSes. The interface is a bit different for a windows user, but once we get used to it, it is similar to windows and it is easier too.
The next operating system is question is the much acclaimed Windows OS. Windows which is being developed by the software giant Microsoft is touted to be the best and the popular OS of the recent times. Usually it comes default with the PC when you had bought it initially and it is indeed the starting platform of many linux or mac enthusiasts too. Some of the main attractions of windows include a non nonsense approach which even a granny can get familiar with in no time. But the latest windows OS which was named Vista had got good bashing both from fans and critics due to the amount of bugs and the bloatware nature of the product.
The third and final OS which are commonly used by a small sect of people is MAC OS. MACs are touted to be stronger, faster and more secure than the other two OSes. People fall for MAC especially for its eye candy nature.
