Sankrit language which is not the origin of all Indian languages. Yes it is to the Indo Aryan languages like Hindi and punjabi but not to the indgenious Languages like Tamil a mother of all other languages like Malayalm ,Telugu Kannadam and etc,,,,
Many people will say that Sankskrit was used for writing religious stuffs and etc.. but we all have to understand that the creators of the sanskrit are the Aryans who were intruders to the Indian soil and the illiterate Aryans learnt the arts and lit frm the Dravdians of the indus valley the oldest civilisation ,who spoke the native language Tamil. Then after the Aryans fabricated Hinduism and and forced their created Sanskrit and stuff like the caste system in Hinduism, these are well known facts, the birth of sanskrit is only during the 1500bc after the arrival of the Aryans. I just want to add gold to your bankles. It is not appropriate to say that Hebrew or Sanskirit is the oldest language by just comparing and spaeking it with Bible. Even Bible is merely older for 2000 years. Before that itself so many languages and religions existed and still continuing their existence...We know that Hindu religions mythology and epics (older that 6000 years) say that the Hindu Gods spoke in a Language called 'Sanskirit'. The sanskirit is also referred as 'Deva lipi (languages of Gods)'. And also Tamil is having a grand history of more than 3000 years. The most of the words and their phonetical signs of this language are similar to the sounds of Nature. For ex, in tamil the word refers to mother is 'Amma' and we know that animals also call their mother with the same phonetic sound (mmmamma..). And also most of the words envisage the specifying things. So, its unfair to say that hebrew is the Oldest language that too by merely grabbing the evidences from Bible and chemistry. That might be apt for a particular race but not for all.

Agastya without doubt was one of the greatest saptarishis in indias time.he was also credited as the father of tamil.when the north indians laughed at agastya saying that south also had to follow sanskrit as a language agastya became soo angry that he went to lord shiva and demanded an answer.lord shiva said sanskrit and tamil equally are old languages because they came out of the sounds arising from either sides of his damaru.when shiva asked agastya to taste the language that he gave in a pot.agastya exclaimed it as (then mozhi)honey language.sen thamizh then mozhiyai by the way was a popular tamil film song.so this is how language eveolved.

hei i am baskar my mother is telegu. my point of view tamil is the oldest language of all languages. sanksrit is not the first. when aryans entering india they use to speak animal languages which was not understand by indus people. indus valley people speak old tamil which is different from a present tamil. their religion is jain. the lord shiva and the first tirtankar rishabadev both were same. then the aryans mix with the indus valley people and formed new form of language called prakrit (which me means previous). then the aryans learnt many things from the tamils and push tamils to south. the vedas were originally were written in prakrit language. when jainism was reestablished by lord mahavira. suddenly the the aryans developed new language called sanskrit(which means later). prakrit and tamil included and formed a new language called telegu and kannada. this is true my friend. many tamil words were in sanskrit. for example

First of all what civilization you are referring to ? if you are referring to Harrapan/Indus civilization it is no older than 5000 to 6000 years. So 10000 year old civilization is a myth created by some fanatics and u proudly follow that and post in forum. I request you to do some research and then post.

They never spoke Sankrit/Samskrita. Infact nobody spoke that language. Many researchers say that Sanskrit was created for communication between foreign traders and kings but it never flourished. Infact Sanskrit as a language of Gods was propagated by fanatics so that it gains popularity and respect. From Rarasim's comments I would say the gamble of fanatics has paid off.

The above mentioned are but just a very very few pioneers and/or masters who have contributed most significantly to modern science, mathamatics, astronomy, politics, medicine,.... but I don't see any one writing in Tamil or any other Drawidian language.
The world's first Universities - Nalanda and Thakshasila Universities - I understand were teaching in Sanskrit not Tamil.

i worked in Chennai n now working in bengaluru n i find a lot of difference.. people of Karnataka are very innocent n friendly.i dint face a language problem even a bit n now a days i can speak in Kannada also its very good language .its very unfortunate that Kannada dint get the Classical Language position eventhough it is next to Sanskrit and before to Tamil..Kannadigas always upheld the "sincerity of innocense"thats why Punjabi's n Kannadigas are liked by any Indian..
