In April 2008, I visited White Rock, BC for the very first time. I had heard of White Rock before because one of my ex-co-workers was from there. I used to hear how beautiful it was there. I had always wanted to visit White Rock.

From Kamloops, we traveled through Kelowna and got on the Coquihalla highway. We ran into a snowstorm in Kelowna and also on the Coquihalla. Snow on the Coquihalla is quite common all year round because the Coquihalla highway is located in the mountains.

Once we started coming down out of the Coquihalla highway and got into the Fraser Valley, it was like a wall was opened and it was spring. The Fraser Valley was warm, had clear blue skies and beautiful spring flowers growing everywhere.

We traveled along through Chilliwack and once we got to Abbotsford, we turned south. There was a series of roads right near the United States borders that we travelled along. We arrived at White Rock and rented a motel room. White Rock is located in the southwest corner of British Columbia.

White Rock is situated on the shores of the Semiahmoo Bay and has spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. There are miles of beach and a pier that you can walk out on. Along the beach is the main attraction of White Rock, a huge white rock.

Along the street that faces the bay, there is a host of seafood restaurants. We had a really nice seafood dinner that night and it was so tasty.

White Rock is a beautiful place to visit and I definitely would recommend it to anyone. There is just so much to see and do and I am hoping to visit there again someday.
