I read a lot of news, I watch a lot of news shows and one story seems unusually silent, suspiciously silent and that story is the epidemic of human trafficking also called white slavery in the United States. The few stories that I have read lay the blame at the feet of high level officials (usually unnamed) who are covering up this story.

I have to say it haunts me. I think about it day and night. I think about the children and even toddlers and babies who are kidnapping and sold into prostitution and then, more often than not, killed after their usefulness has been fulfilled. What is driving this business are three things: money, the Internet and secrecy. Lots and lots of money is involved, it is a billion-dollar industry.

Now most of us, when we have heard of White Slavery think of places like India or China or maybe Eastern Europe, seldom do we think of Omaha Nebraska or Iowa or Minnesota. And yet some of these places have been the centers of child prostitution.

I recently read a story about a young boy who was kidnapped at the age of 12 while doing his paper route in 1982 in Des Moines, Iowa. His name was Johnny Gosch. His mother tried to get the local police to investigate, they refused. She went to the FBI, they also did nothing. Eventually, she even went to the governor of Iowa, he too did nothing. She finally had to hire her own private investigator in order to try and find out what happened to her son. She did have a modicum of success with the press, although they too were threatened and pulled stories that were set to air. One day over 10 years later after she had told her story on a TV show, two young men knocked on her door late at night. She opened the door and there stood her son. He met with her for over 2 hours. He told her what happened to him, that he had been taken by a pedophile ring and forced into sex slavery, he told her that he had to go back otherwise they would find him and her and kill them both. He told her that this was huge and infiltrated every level of government including the White House. He told her that some children were used in snuff films, satanic rituals and that they had auctions where some of the children were sold to the highest bidder. She never saw her son again.

There has never been a high level prosecution in this area nor has there has ever been a “task force” to address this area. People, who talk about it, try to do something about it or even interview people involved somehow end up dead under unusual circumstances. The book "The Franklin Cover-Up" talked about it and the movie "Conspiracy of Silence" showed what happened but that movie was pulled from the air 20 minutes before airing under suspicious circumstances. I have to say I’m a little nervous even writing this post. But, one thing that I can do, the only thing I can do is to write about it, talk about it and try to raise awareness that this is going on in our midst. Someone once said that all it takes for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing. I can’t think of a more true statement when it comes to saving our children, your children from the horrors of White Slavery. Look at your child when you go to bed tonight and think about them, think about what kind of living hell they would live if something like this should happen to them. These children that were abducted are no different from your children. We must shake the horror of this epidemic, get mad and take action. I hope this haunts you like it haunts me, maybe then something will be done about it.
