Who Do We Love and How Much are We Willing to Let Go

Who Do we Love? How Much?
Once upon a troubled time, in an era of political focus,
the clamor of or change in the leadership of a nation, the
eyes of the influential turned toward the never-been-done.
Now is the time for a black president, now is the new era
for a woman in power, now is the time to change the
institution of marriage and proclaim that it could be anything
that is different: 2 men, 2 women or, who knows, maybe
3 or 4 or 6 together without limits. Who has the right to
make moral judgment? Who needs morality? At such
a time, in such a materialistic nation that defines the
success of any person or organization -- God sent a
few radical believers to dot the land with a fresh message.
It is not what you have that defines you. It is not what
you know that identifies you. It is not your possessions
that reveal you. It is not your money that sustains you.
From deep within the hearts of these chosen few the call
goes out to listen to the words of a man who claimed to be
the Son Of God, a man who during his 30s presented such
a radical message of lifestyle change that he actually
stated: "If you are not ready to give up everything for me;
then, you are not ready to be my disciple." (Luke 14:33).
These chosen messengers sold all, gave away their
material "security," submitted themselves to daily provisions,
and began to go forward in the power of God, being
strengthened by joy of the Lord Jesus Christ. They stepped
into the daily glory of God and asked Him to be their Lord,
Savior, and comforter. Now, they stay attentive every minute
to see what their glorious God will do next. Who will He
send to them to be inspired and reflect upon this King of
Glory who promises to return here from Heaven to
receive those who have submitted to Him? One at a time
they speak about the provision of our great God and
savior Jesus Christ. They let people know how much God
loves them. He willingly gave up everything for us. He
gave His most cherished only begotten son who died so
we may live eternally.
In a park, on a beach, in the path of the wind and sun and
rain, rising tides, burning sand, darkness of night, heat of day,
they wait on their great God to supply their every need.
Their great awe maximum God who never leaves or
forsakes them, actually speaks to them daily. He tells them
to wait for His surprises: "When you have a need, present
it to me, go where I send you today, open your eyes
and ears, pray for the sick, comfort the poor, save the lost,
encourage the weak, love the unlovable, lift up the holy
name of Jesus Christ, whose name is above all names.
Every need will be provided as you seek first my kingdom."
The person who gave you this message is one who follows
the radical lifestyle of our most loving but radical teacher
and Creator of the earth in which we live and the creator
of the heavens to which we aspire. Come fellowship with
them and be encouraged by the simple purity of their
Jesus walk. Be changed by the faith they profess, the faith
walk they possess. God will touch your heart in a
powerful way!
