Web 2.0, Web 2.0, Web 2.0.....That's all you hear lately when talking about the internet and where the future lies.

When talk centers on Web 2.0, you also will hear about "community sites", how popular they have become, and how they are able to attract millions and millions of members.

So what exactly is Web 2.0, and what is a "community web site"?

Here is a short definition of Web 2.0 from Wikipedia:

"Web 2.0 is a trend in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to facilitate creativity, information sharing, and, most notably, collaboration among users. These concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities and hosted services, such as social-networking sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies. The term became notable after the first O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in 2004.[2][3] Although the term suggests a new version of the World Wide Web, it does not refer to an update to any technical specifications, but to changes in the ways software developers and end-users use webs" More From Wikipedia

Community web sites, such as MySpace, Facebook, and literally hundreds of others, are sprouting like weeds after the first good Spring rain. Some of these sites are wildly popular, drawing millions of members and visitors (and millions of dollars) for their founders.

The big question is, who will come up with the blockbuster idea for the next MySpace Or Facebook?

It could be you, it could be me, it could be anyone, if they take the initiative to set up their own specialized community site much like MySpace Or Facebook and all of the other popular and successful Web 2.0 sites.

The big problem for most people, when it comes to building a community web site, is that they have no idea how or where to start on building such a site.

Well, the good news is that anyone can build their own specialized community web site, much like MySpace or Facebook, and they can do it easily and quickly using a powerful free software script? That's right, there is a ready-made script, and it can be downloaded for free.

The software is called Dolphin, and you can find out about it and how to download it for free right here.

No, this isn't some cheap clone script that you can't get to work properly either. I am talking about a highly sophisticated script that has been continually developing for several years and continues to be improved on a regular basis.

My first thought was...... "What's the Catch"? You're probably thinking the same thing. Am I right? Well - there is no catch. You can go right to their site and download it for free.

This software has built in capabilities for dating sites, but you can use it for any type of community you want to have - from hobbies to careers to whatever you want to make out of it. It's up to you.

So, what are the the possibilities.

You start up one of these sites, allowing free registration, for a niche that you are passionate about. The word gets out and people begin to join. Soon you have lots of members.

Now you can start adding advertising to your site and raking in a bundle without ever selling anything directly. That's how the "big boys" do it.

But wait, that's not all, there's more.

You could start endorsing affiliate products off of the site and make even more revenue.

You can even add a paid level - or several paid levels of memberships to explode your earnings. That capability is built right in.

Can you see the potential here?

These sites are fun for people and as the word gets out your membership will grow all by itself. All you have to do is monetize the site passively during the growth stage and you will be making a fair amount of coin.

For your information..........

Here are some of the features that are built into the software:

  • YouTube, Odeo and Flickr like video integration
  • Customize your site using the integrated "Builders"
  • Set up Groups, Classified ads and Events
  • Tags are used throughout the site
  • Menu Builder allows you to create your own style of navigation
  • Intuitive Admin Panel
  • And there are lots more.

Watch the short demonstration video below to get an idea of what it takes to build one of these sites.....

So, if you're ready to test the water and build your own community web site, download the free Dolphin script and give it a try.

Who knows what could happen?
