Who are the top three female comedians of all time?

Only three top female comedians, where there have been so many talented actresses out there ? Even the top three of last year would be hard. But here we go... for my personal, subjective, instinctive, arbitrary list.

I did not chose them only for their look or a particular role, but rather for the way they managed their career.

At this point, I feel just like the "Joker" in the first Batman movie. Do you remember that scene where he cuts women photograps out of glossy revues, singing... "So much to do, only few time".

I can't remember in which movie I discovered the delicious Kim Basinger (see here IMDB profile), but I was young, and she impressed me. Was it in "Never say never again", where she bond-girled for Sean Connery ? May be.

Her filmography is rather surprising. Ranging from Nine 1/2 weeks to Batman, to 8 Mile, to L.A. Confidential and Prêt-à-Porter, and a short apparition in Wayne's World 2.

As all actresses, she also made some "less good" choices, like Cellular (never past the 20th minute), my stepmother is an alien. I forgive her, just for her role in Final Analysis.

Do you remember Sharin the the Allan Quatermain series movies ? Or in Total Recall ? Probably not, because that was before the famous "legs scene" in Basic Instinct that made her a super-star. Check her IMDB profile, you'll see that she existed before.

If I put Sharon at this place, it's not because she got famous because of an absent piece of lingerie, but because of what happened next. No, I'm not talking about Sliver, but movies like Casino, Diabolique, Sphere, Broken Flowers, and many other.

Doing the "Basic Instinct" thing was easy, but risky. Sliver could have been a final trap, but she achieved to bounce as she probably planed from the beginning, and build a wonderful career on that start. Bravo Sharon !

Why Demi on top ? Ok, apart from being HER, it's rather difficult to find an unpleasant Demi movie. She went through different phases, from Ghost to The Juror, Stripteast to GI Jane, A Few Good Men to Disclosure. Did I mention Charlie's Angels Full Throttle.

Her IMDB profile is full of great movies, but not only these she played in. Did you know she was the produce or all three "Austin Powers" movies ? Not mentionning voice in The Hunchabck of Notre Dame...

So for a so complete career, Demi Moore comes on top. And, hey... it's Demi !

Choosing three out of so many talented actresses is really a hard game. Give me more options, and I will put Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman, Uma Thurman, Andie McDowell, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, and so many others.
