I have tons of favorite authors. I am an avid reader, from romance to poetry, historic, humor and fictions. I am less enthusiastic about tragedies. I can’t pin down one author, but these are great authors. Well done tinyteddy.
My favorite is Twain......modern day......novelist Dean Koontz.
Thanks....good hub! :)
I have read clips or books by all of them, my favorite author is Maya Angelou and I can read her book over and over " I know why the caged bird sings" and " A Letter to my daughter". I have also read her poetry. I know what you may be thinking, this white girl, is reading that??? Yes ,I am :):):She inspires me and is a very talented woman and one day I hope I can meet her and Oprah for that matter. Thank you for publishing this article!!!:)

Oscar Wilde, actually, is my favorite writer. :) Especially his post-prison works. They have much greater depth than his pre-prison writings.
Cheers,
