About Me Brian Fanslau
I am a Man from Minnesota who is engaged in social media.
I was born in St.Cloud MN to Barb and Mike Fanslau. My role model is my Grandfather Harold Anderson who began Anderson Trucking Services. His etiquette in business has given me a lot to look to in the form of leadership. My grandfather was a great leader and he managed ATS until his death when I was 14 years old. He led with a strong foot forward by connecting with his employees in a way that was truly more than a typical boss. He was a great connector and listener and I've been told those qualities haved passed to my brother and I especially.
We (my brother Adam Fanslau and I) are very "young" but have had an overwhelming amount of life experience under our belts from the divorce of our parents to being in board rooms at 12 years old listening to different people speak and meet over ATS. We have grown up in the world of "grown-ups" and developed skills that have helped each of us be good communicators.
My bother is three years younger than myself and I have 2 other step siblings now since my mother remarried. She married a very common sense ear to the ground guy named Dave who has helped both my brother and I learn a thing or two about cars, and the like and our dad Mike has given us an inventor's spark for ingenuity as he is a carpenter and promotional advertiser.
Our schooling was very diferent than most others or I should say for me since my brother did go to a public school for Highschool while I continued and finished my entire schooling from Saint Cloud Christian School where I graduated with 3 of my closest friends including Michael G. and Michael B. whom I knew since kindergarten and 1st grade.
We as a class literally ran much of the schools technology. We designed and told them what to buy for sound stage equipment and even so far as to spend the thousands of dollars on 25 computers for their growing school. We did much of the set-up ourselves and created easy to follow directions for many of our friends in younger grades and for the staff who will need to use the equipment in the future. to say the least we spent a fair deal of time outside of class and had very special attention to our studies to make sure they were more than adequate for our absensces.
This responsibilty and enteprenuership led us to start our first company in our sophmore year in which it was and still is a partnership between Michael G and I. We began a film production company called Ten Letter Productions and we filmed weddings, funerals, events, all to raise the funds to make a full length feature film that we wrote and produced our Junior year with a budget of 6,000 dollars. When the movie showed in theatres that November we had packed out the Parkwood 18 theatre in St.Cloud for every showing that weekend and grossed 7,000 in ticket sales which left us enough to print DVDs and make another 2,000 for our future films in which we have a Romantic Comedy wrote and waiting for the company to again be rebirthed after the remainder of our crew graduate from college.
I'm now currently through with college and have began using my Marketing knowledge I recieved from Bethel University and the numerous books I've read on developing leadership, effective marketing, and business practice to work on my newest venture YouBrandInc in which I've surrounded myself with key individuals who empower me and help to move this project forward quickly and efficiently.
What YouBrandInc is in short is a Personal Branding company that helps anyone learn how to maximize their potential through the use of social media.
