Why A Debate Between Atheists And Religious People Is Useless

First of all, if you are a religious person , please don't read this article . It may contain spoilers . Besides , your "intellectual" opinon has no value to me . I'm writing this hub for my fellow atheists to tell them not to waste their time and energy in such debates .

Someone said that a man's intelligence is like a river , wide in some places and narrow in other . The narrow side is religion's niche and a dialog here would not be helpful or constructive . Both sides have their mind set before they even start a discussion anyway .

If for some people , religion helps them become a better person , then wathever rocks their boat . We should stop criticizing each other , and mind our own business . We have better thing to do , like live our lifes for example . We're all grown up , more or less .

Witnessing this kind of circus makes me realize how miserable human condition is : to be able to think and see that your reasoning is like going around in a circle . Nobody has a straight answer but there's this insatiable need to rationalize everything which makes us so incredibly unhappy .

I'll end this with a beautiful qoute :

Better to be an animal than a man , an insect than an animal , a plant than an insect , and so on . Salvation ? Whatever diminishes the kingdom of consciousness and compromises its supremacy . ~ Emil Cioran - The Trouble With Being Born ~
