Americans were ready for political change
How did Barack Obama Become President of the United States of America?
Why does America need Barack Obama? Americans agree that the country is not at its best to welcome the 44th President of the United States. The economy is in a deep recession causing a crisis of no less the magnitude of the Great Depression. America has two wars raging in the area of Iraq and the energy crisis continues.
Why Barack Obama? Without sounding like a campaigner for change that America has welcomed with open arms, an analytical view will be made on the coolness of a President facing these problematic conditions. National news reporters and political analysts are saying that Barack Obama must get to the White House and hit the floor running. Barack Obama commitment to doing just that and taking on his responsibilities as President of the United States are forthcoming with the smartness of a more experienced politician.
Soon after he secured the Democratic win over Republican John McCain, Barack Obama was questioned whether he had skipped the inauguration and stepped right into the Presidency. As energetic as the best selling author of "The Audacity of Hope," and his daily physical workout,Obama hit the floor running with the selection of his cabinet members. Americans begin to wonder whether there were two Presidents governing America, President Bush and President-Elect Obama. Barack Obama made it quite clear and stated that there can be only one President at a time.
The American public was especially curious about how he would handle the economic bailout of the three major automakers . After five months in office both of the ailing automakers have filed bankruptcy, Chrysler and GM. Obama was not hesitant in approving the bankrupcies of the companies that could not pay their enormous debt to creditors. As alway, President Obama was optimistic that Chrysler and GM would come out of the bankruptcies leaner and stronger companies.
As a thank you to the devoted voters who spirited launched Barack Obama to the highest office in the country, Obama held numerous news conferences allowing Americans first class seats for his Presidential cabinet selections by holding town meetings online. Why Barack Obama? Because he has been true to his word and selected only the best, finest, and smartest for his “team of rivals.” Team of rivals is the selection process President Abraham Lincoln used for cabinet members. Barack Obama chose to follow President Lincoln who like himself, faced a nation in turmoil. Honest Abe is known for his integrity and the American people expect the same honesty from Barack Obama.
Why Barack Obama? Americans can identify with a politician who loathes the lobbyists and special interest groups. Barack Obama has reached into the most rural areas of America to harness their support and to serve them. He has succeeded in earning the trust of the American public. President Barack Obama public opinion ratings are at an all time high.
The internet has been a major communication tool for President Barack Obama during his campaign. He is America’s 21st century President though he speaks often of President Lincoln, President John F. Kennedy and President Clinton. Communications through this international network makes it quite easy to write to Mr. President.
Have you written online to Mr. President today? Have you texted Mr. President today? The internet has made the world a smaller place in which to communicate and Barack Obama is aware of the concept and uses it quite well to communicate with the American people. Why Barack Obama? Barack Obama is a President like President Roosevelt who inspired a nation when he said during his inauguration address as America braved the Great Depression, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Why Barack Obama? Obama acknowledged his win of the Presidency at Grant Park in Chicago on November 5, 2008 as he spoke these now historic words answering the question as if authoring another book but this time the pages of history:
“If anyone out there still doubts whether America is a place where all things are possible . . . who still questions our democracy, tonight is your answer.”

Great hub, thanks for sharing.
Very good hub on Obama and why America voted for him.
Thank you Earnest, for your comment.
Obama seems nice enough ,but actions speak louder than words.
Even though he's a distant cousin of Christipher Reeves,he's no superman.
Almost anyone could have been elected after eight years of George W. Bush.
Hope he doesn't make things worse, which isn't likely now.In some ways he's still a front man for the likes of Rockerfeller.
You said "without sounding like a campaigner for change that America has welcomed with open arms" the problem with that is you sound exactly like a campaigner. Now I know you are enthusistic about Obama but only a little more than half of America welcomed it, and given Bush's unpopularity it should have been a lot more. Obama has not really accomplished anything other than drive up deficit spending in a time we can least afford it.
You also said that Obama was not hesitant in approving banruptcies for Chrysler and GM, it is not the function of the President to do such a thing! You do know that right? He gave money to both of these companies so they WOULDN'T go bankrupt and they failed anyway. That is money wasted and will never be repaid to the taxpayer. I am sorry but I can't take you seriously, learn what a President should do and get back to us.
Very informative. Nice Hub.
Interesting Hub. I afraid Obama has not delivered the change he promised during the campaign. O B A M A
One Big Awful Mistake America
Legacy Wellness, thank you for your comment.
ABC news and other media is reporting that because of the Stimulus Package the GNP is up 3.9 per cent and Wall Street is recovering. Although it was reported that 82% of Americans think that the recession is not over because of the employment rate there is the probability that the economy is headed for a recovey.
You have got to admit with the $8,000 housing credit, the Cash for Clunkers Program (under scrutiny) and the $250 credit to Veterans are unprecedented and brave moves for a new president.
President Obama now has about 55% of favoritism with the American public. You all must be a part of the unapproving percentile.
But that is fine; after all this is America. Your comment is much appreciated and you are welcome to read more hubpages by lindagoffigan.
