I Want To Ask You A Very Simple Question
Why can't Obama bail out the 13 Million Hungry Children In The USA. Yes why indeed do we spend trillions bailing out Wall Street and the banks but no one is screaming what about the 13 million hungry children here in the USA. No one including President Obama has offered to bail them out.And do you know that the 13 million is a conservative US government number.
Think about this. Recently 20 billion dollars was given to Bank of America to bail them out. With that amount every hungry child in America could eat for a year. And just think about this. If all the Bail Out money had been spent on the hunger and homeless problems facing America their would be no problem.
It burns me up that I still have not yet seen the 13 million hungry children, or the 33 million hungry people in America that includes the children or the issue of homelessness mentioned as a major news story on any of the major news networks. They can talk all day about the economy and its sorry state or bore you to death all day long with story after story about a river rising over its banks in North Dakota but people there are much more important news stories that should be on the news all day long. Why not follow hungry children all day long CNN and show that over and over. Or how about a all day story about the 16.000 homeless people living in the streets of New Orleans.
The issues of the hungry and the homeless facing America today are a failure of leadership from the top down. Bottom line we need to stop electing people who sell out America. And it shouldn't matter if they are democrat or republicans. Maybe its time we had a new party called something like, The American Party. I bet you people like Franklin, Jefferson, and Adams would join it. And I could see men like Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Bobby Kennedy just to name a few leading the charge.
We need to stop late night commercials for kids in foreign countries and worry about the kids here in this country. Shelby North Carolina has a real homeless problem and it has hundreds probably thousands of houses setting boarded up that people could be living in. Whole neighborhoods here in Shelby North Carolina are boarded up. Why? And you know what its the same in many cities all across America.
Recent goverment figures say that there are now 35.5 million hungry people here in the USA and that 17 percent of all American children are hungry. Those numbers should be the lead news story on every news network in America.
America is supposed to lead the world in wealth. We sent 6 billion dollars in Foreign Aid to Israel last year and another 4 billion to Egypt. And you know what we spend 70 billion dollars a year on the war on drugs that has been going on for 39 years and we are no closer to winning it today than we were ever were. You can add 12 billion a month for the war in Iraq.
And still we have those 35.5 million Americans that are hungry. Don't you think that maybe just maybe its time we wake up and demand that our US government either work for the American people or we get rid of them all.

Oh yes its all their faults. Not just Obama but all the Democrats and all the Republicans. They try to keep you busy with their bullshit political infighting so you don't start asking real questions like about.

The War on Drugs, that is never going to work. Its been going on for 39 years and they are no closer to winning it today than they ever were. Tax it instead. Prohibition never worked. All it did was create billions of dollars for rich men.
The illegal Alien Problems that grow day by day in leaps and bounds.
But most of those aren't political correct issues so the news services and the Politicians continue to ignore the issues.
People will say the churches should take up the cause but unfortuntly most people treat church as a social club. They go to be seen and to see what other people are wearing. If you are a Christian you should read Matthew 25 31-46 and I would dare say the average Christian has never heard their preacher preach a sermon from those verses. And a lot of churches especially in the US south try to raise money to build the building bigger than the church down the road. They have all the wrong ideals about what church really is. If your in doubt read Matthew 25 31-46 and if your preacher does not preach it ask him why? Yes why indeed.
To answer the title question - because it will bring immediate hyper-inflation as opposed to delayed one, when he is bailing out corporations...

Below are those verses and I dare say not many Christians go by these verses. Read them carefully and think about them.
Matthew 25:34-46 " Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Honestly, the government will not conceed, sadly. There is a solution though. For those who feel this way in each community to form an organization that cares for the hungry that live in their own community. Having money is only half the battle. Getting people involved and keeping them motivated is another challenge. Storage space for the food and the list goes on.
It all can be done but someone must have a vision first.
This Hub may inspire just that.

Thomas or Crazyhorsesghost as all of you know him is one hell of a guy. He and a group of people that help him provide food for many hungry people every week. And the man is really serious and sincere about his feelings for the poor. Keep up the good work Thomas. I think that one person can not solve this problem!
No one person can not but if we as a American people refused to vote for any more democrats or republicans we could change the world as a group. We need to throw all the republicans and democrats out and start over with a party that would always be for America first. And for the American peoples interest first of all. We need to stop sending one dime for poverty out of this country as long as we have one hungry child in this country. Lets have commercials to ask for money for children here in the USA. America needs to keep its money at home and spend it for America's problems here in America and let the rest of the world fend for themselfs.
We need to stop any imports to America that take American Jobs. In the last few years hundreds of thousands of textile jobs have been lost to Mexico and China. We need to stop all textile imports and take those jobs back.
America can no longer be the Police to the world. We need to worry about what is going on here at home in America and take care of Americans first.

We need to wake up and demand that America's money be spent here in America. Not one more dime should leave this country as long as we have one hungry or homeless child or adult in this country.
President Barack Obama cannot as the other commenters have said, feed 13 million children. It is an ongoing problem and the government unfortunately is not to blame. President Barack Obama has initiated a massive health care change that is aimed at providing health care for 11 million children as part of his $787 Billion Stimulus Package. In the United States, wealth is distributed to about 3 to 5% of the population. President Bush seemed to have harboured the wealthy with a reported cabinet member chamber of the most millionaires in United States history as reported by the Guinness Book of World Records. Voters got President Barack Obama into the presidency with grass roots campaign and that is why most Americans think that he is capable of bringing the change to America as promised. With a Republican disagreement on most of the financial programs that President Barack Obama is trying to get passed through Congress, it is amazing that he has been able to pass any bill concerning energy, education and the topic of this response health care.

If there is not a major change in US government policy towards their own people America is going to become a third world country. The US Government and Obama could all feed the hungry American children as they should be doing. Our Native American Reservations are already like third world countries and the US Government does not care. Who should feed a people if not their own country. Who indeed. It is Obama and every other elected politicians responsibility to feed and take care of our American Children.Why should the US send billions of dollars to African nations and other areas when we have one hungry child here in this country. Not one dime should go to them as long as we have one hungry child in this country.
And the Heath care reform is not going to feed any child. And it is not going to work as they have it outlined and set up. Have you read it. I have. What we need is universal health care for every man , woman, and child in the USA.
I did not support Obama or McCain. I personally think its time we get rid of all Republicans and Democrats. We need a American party that would be for Americans first.Think about this in 1974 there were 300.000 plus looms in the American Textile Industry. Today there are fewer than 10.000. Hundreds of thousands of American Textile Jobs have been sent to Mexico and China. And it was the Republicans and the Democrats who did this to us.
Whole cities in the American south are like ghost towns. The old mills stand empty and are now falling down.America's War on Drugs is a joke. Billions of dollars a year are spent to stop Drugs from coming into America from Mexico and its like a man with his finger in a dike. Legalize and tax it is the answer. It did not work to make Alcohol illegal and it will never work with drugs.
Across the USA there are hundreds of thousands probably millions of homes boarded up in America's Cities that were hit the hardest by the hard economic times. And some of these houses are setting there and have been setting there so long that they are now falling down. What could do they do setting there boarded up. They could be repaired and used for people with no homes. Across America's south in almost every city of any size are tens of thousands of empty buildings.But Obama is going to save us all. Not. Its never going to happen. Its only going to get worse in our country until there is a major change in thinking by Obama and all the other Politicians.Including all Republicans and Democrats.
I say throw them all out. Most people don't even realize the major problems facing America, They ( The US Government ) hide most of them to keep all the Americans from being mad as hell.I really do hope and pray that Obama can help America. But if he does there is going to have to be a major change in political thinking about America.
They are going to have to think about America first and not worry about the problems of the world. We have enough problems here in America for them to worry about for the next hundred years. And the first thing would be for all political infighting to stop and I don't think that's going to happen. People like Rush Limbaugh are so full of hate but still many Americans support him. Come on people read the record of Limbaugh including his criminal problems with prescription drugs. And we have democrats just as bad. I personally say if they can not help America throw them all out. We don't need them. We need politicians that will work to.

3. Stop Textile Imports to the USA. Bring back America's Jobs
4. Find a real solution for America's Drug Problem
5. Provide Health Care for every man, woman, and child in the USA.
6. Stop Illegal aliens from coming to America.
7. America's Bridges and Roads are in horrible shape. They must be fixed.
And those are just seven things. There are many more. America can not be the the police to the world with the problems we have here in the USA.
We also cannot think or worry about other countries problems. We need to be thinking about that list above. Because people if we do not America is doomed. Yes I said doomed. At best it will become a third world country. At worse it will break up the same as Russia did. America needs a wake up call and we need Americans who care about the most important thing of all and that is America.
If the rich weren't lying to, stealing from, and starving the poor there wouldn't be anybody going to hell. But I only feel sorry for the poor. I wonder why?
The US Goverment is supposed to be for the American people including the poor but all they care about our the special intrest and the rich and helping the rich get richer. They don't care that we have 13 million hungry children in the USA.
The heart of the problem is that the leaders have no heart. They simply don't care about starving children or anyone that is not in their circle. Ninety percent of the people could drop dead in theis country and they could care less. Until we really understand that they do not care in the least about us....the problems will absolutely get worse.
Millions of poor people have been slaughtered in Africa and all world governments did nothing. They want the poor to disappear...they want the handicapped to disappear! They don't care at all...they pretend to care in public but the truth is obvious by their lack of actions. They only care about their family and friends....everyone else can die, except for their servants of course.
If a WW II soldier who died would come back today....would he believe that Hitler won? The leaders play politics with our lives because they do not care about our lives. It is a game of ego and power. The people are irrelevant.

Give the President a break, he is trying to help the economy so all these hungry children can eat. Don't you think if the parents can't find a good job to keep these children save and well fed, the children will starve to death? It's not President Obama's responsibility to feed children whose parents aren't taking care of, it isn't his responsibility to care for those parents who are smoking marijuana and drowning in alcohol. Why does Obama have to pay the bills of people who don't want to work and care for their children? This is a capitalist society, and if a 16-year-old drops out of high school, gets pregnant, and then decides she doesn't want to work to feed her four children, why does Obama have to feed them?
Wow Vanessa! That is a little harsh. Do you really believe that all hungry people are smoking marijuana and drunk or children of this kind of life style? Aren't you watching the news? The face of homelessness and hunger is changing. American factories are closing and moving operations overseas to save money. Thousands of hard working Americans have been laid off because of this reason.
If we really want to help. We need to start buying more American made products. It is false that Americans do not make anything. Start looking at the labels of items that you buy. Support businesses that are here. Keep tax money local to pay for education, roads, etc.
Anyone could be laid off. Vanessa, you could be next..... your family members... your friends.... Middle class America - hard working, good people are suffering because of businesses closing and moving overseas.
Did you know that Americans owe $11.4 Trillion!! It is no wonder that taxes are rising. One third of the taxes collected to fund our budget pays the interest only on this debt!!! As a result, teachers are being laid off, roads are not being built, soon we will not have enough money to fund social security, etc.... As a result....MORE hungry people!!!!

First, I am all for feeding hungry legal American children here in America. Not into feeding illegal aliens, their children and families...that is the rub. You feed the children, you are also feeding the parents who are here illegally, who have broken our laws.
So...feed the children, and if it turns out their parent(s) are here illegally, feed them all, then deport them.
First off, i agree with you. There are millions of children around the world who need help, why is it up to us Americans to solve all world problems, when we can't even tend to our own. I believe if the government truly cared about the American public, our children would be first on the list,yet we feel the need to pump billions of US dollars overseas. And this joke of a stimulus package, tell me, how much of those billions will actually reach a starving american child----$0. Instead, we need to fund airports for private individuals. I am very confused!!!
Most people are in denial about what's going on in our own country. If they don't see something with thier own eyes in their own neighborhoods it doesn't exist for them.
They'd be surprised to look in some of thier neighbors cupboards. They'd be shocked to hear that the neighbor down the street eats at a soup kitchen but they cook for thier kids at home.
They would be surprised if they went to the local elementary school and see kid after kid in line for breakfast and lunch punching in thier free lunch ID numbers at the till.
We need to have victory gardens started back up again and we need to give 10% to food pantries like our grandparents did in WWII and the Depression.

I also think we need to stop sending money to fight wars. The iraq war should have been over a long time ago. We went there to do what we did. Why are we still there? They don't want us there, killing our men and woman every day. If they want a dictator, it's their country, let them lead how they want. Who are we to tell another country how to run things. We wouldn't like it if it were done here.
Same with the feeding other countries. I am all for helping others, but how about we do a 80% 20% split. Keep 80% here until everyone is able to be fed and off the streets and give 20% to help others, more when we are stable HERE.
The way the states and governments waste money is sickening. I have problems with bi polar and PTSD. Because mental health takes one insurance and not the other (which I am not allowed to cancel) I can't get services. I keep having to go to the ER when things get bad. I looked at the amount spent per visit. They spend between 1,000-4,000 per visit. About $40,000.00 a month on average medi-care spends for me to sit at the ER 9 hours every few days. When $1,000.00 of that would pay for my therapy enough for a YEAR!!! Instead they would rather me go to the ER and waste money getting "Stable" instead of helping me get better so I don't have to keep going back. I know I can't be the only one in this situation. How much money is being wasted because they would rather do a band-aid job instead of fixing the problem? All this money could get going to other programs to help people, such as the homeless and hungry for one. Things need to change if we are to get better as a country. We are slowly slipping to what we call others "3rd world". It's really quite sad.

I think this is a problem that goes much deeper than just Obama, but has unfortuantly become a core principal of our Country.
We can quite litterally spend billions on wars in other countries, but we can't spend billions feeding and housing our homeless.This is something I have never understood and is a practice that goes back many many years.
