Why you have white/gray hair? Tell the true!

While I was having my quick lunch, I overheard this little girl asked: "Mommy! why you have white hair growing from your head?" The mother replied: "Mmm! is because you are naughty and always don't listen to me." Little girl puzzled for awhile and replied: "Now I know why grandma's hair turns all white!"

Wasn't that funny? Lesson learned, always speak the true even in front of your little girl. So what's the true reason of having white or gray hair? Older people tend to develop gray hair (actually colourless) because the pigmentation in the hair is lost and the hair becomes colourless. The age at which this occurs varies from person to person, but in general nearly everyone 75 years or older has gray hair but gray hair can appear as early as the teens and twenties for some, or even in childhood. In general, men tend to become gray at younger age than women. Whether it comes with aging or prematurely, seems to be almost entirely based on genetics.

This might sound too theoretical for a little girl but definitely save you from situation like this.
