I first started blogging because I was inspired by reading other blogs. One of these was Entrepreneur's Journey by Yaro Starak. Another excellent blog I read is Problogger, by Darren Rowse. Darren has just started another blog about Twitter, called TwiTip.

There are numerous blogs out there that I read regularly. I have been reading blogs for years and I've learned a great deal, so much so that I am going to start my own blog about blogging. I will re-invent the blogging wheel and even Darren Rowse and Chris Brogan will be furiously scribbling notes as they read my blog posts.

I really enjoy writing. I practiced with a fake blog, which is a sandbox blog that I experimented with so I would be able to learn how to use a blog. This sandbox blog was never published.

Of all the different blog platforms I have tried, I am most impressed with WordPress. It is easy to use and there are literally hundreds of themes and templates and thousands of plugins.

Of all the web hosting companies I have researched, BlueHost comes out on top. They have an excellent customer service reputation and you can contact them by phone, chat and email if you have a problem with your account. I have friends with blogs who have enjoyed BlueHost's service for years.

I became a blogger mainly because I enjoy writing and learning and I think blogging is a lot of fun. I have met a lot of fine people online. I really enjoy using social media! Social media is such a blast that I am going to join at least 190 social media networks! Once I build up enough traffic, I'll put some advertising in place so I can pay for my hosting costs. The rest of the money I raise from advertising will be given right back to my readers through promotions such as contests. You subscribe to my blog, you make me a success, I'll share my successes with you, my readers. I have always believed in the Win-Win scenario and this is no less true in blogging.

Blogging is something I truly enjoy. I receive so much from the blogging community and I love to give right back!! That is one of the best reasons that I can cite as to why I became a blogger.
