Being relatively new into the world of direct sales/network marketing, while I may not be an expert, I believe I do have some solid experience in what works and what doesn't.

I am amazed how many different companies are out there pitching their products and their opportunities. Everything is now being offered through direct sales these days. How on earth does someone know where to begin or what to look for with so many options?

I believe this is where someone like myself might be of assistance. Of course I would have to first gain your trust and confidence. I can only do this by giving you some history on me, sharing with you what I have come to learn about and now believe in so passionately.

My previous 27 year career was in Accounting in the Hotel industry. I was the Director of Finance in 4 different properties across the United States. A few years ago I decided I needed a change and began researching options for working out of the home. I have a daughter in High School and wanted a more flexible schedule.

It didn't take long for me to discover the world of direct sales. I started out dabbling in jewelry, then added a complete accessory line to the jewelry line in an effort to offer more of a "boutique" concept. I spent almost three years working my new business and was doing well but not great. I wanted great!

How could anyone achieve great with having to maintain inventory, lateral comp plans, monthly minimum purchasing, recruiting and meeting requirements? I remember one month purchasing the required $500 to maintain my status as a Director and receiving a whopping commission check of $74! I always loved counting my Year End Inventory for our taxes and it totalling over $8,000 year after year.

Fortunately I continued to do my homework and came across a company that was getting ready to launch a new French skin care line into the U.S. Like the U.S. doesn't have enough skin care lines? Well, after further research we actually don't have many that are of this quality and potent at this price point. It didn't take me long to review the materials, read the business plan, understand the compensation plan and I was in!

I sold off all of my accessory line at cost and spent all my energy on building my new business with Votre Vu. It was such an easy decision once I understood just what they were all about. Taking out all the aspects of a direct sales business that are bad and just wrong, such as, maintaining an inventory.
