Part 2

There are many arguments made by Trinitarians using scriptures such as; Romans 11:33, Isaiah 55:8,9, 1 Cor. 13:12, 1 Tim. 3:16 to show that we cannot understand the mystery of Trinity. But Trinitarians will not entertain the same argument in the opposite. That is to say that perhaps the mystery of God just might include the exclusion of the Trinity.

The Trinity attempts to explain that the Godhead is one but with three persons within the one Godhead. We already discussed the problem of independence in the previous part. But I propose to you yet another problem.

Outside of humanity what is the purpose of having the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit?

I will focus first on the Son. The purpose of the Son according to scripture is to die, be buried and resurrect. This was to redeem mankind from sin. Outside of man's salvation the "Son" has no purpose. In other words what makes him the "Son" is God's birth among men.

Prior to creation what purpose was it to call a "person" in the Godhead "Son"? How were the titles within the Godhead determined? Or was this title not distinguished until man was created.

If the person in the Godhead "Son" is eternal, then for the "Son" to be fulfilled man had to be created. The "Son" without man becomes meaningless.

In other words, in order to fulfill the eternal purpose of the "Son" man had to be created. If man is not created the purpose of the "Son" remains unfulfilled.

This creates a dependency on the "Son" for man to be created. If the "Son" is dependent on man then the "Son" ceases to be God. Since, God is independent.
