Why I have started using hubpages

A snippet about me
My real name is Adrian, i am a 40 something male with a sense of humor living in Mid Wales. In the last year I have had to give up full time work due too a Lung condition. My intention is to find Employment possibly with some form of training aspect working from home. Although at the moment I am restricted to working from home hopefully within 12 month's this will have improved. To be realistic I would like to work approximately 4 hours a day over a 5 day period but I remain as flexible as my condition allows.
What attracts me to Hubpages
To be Honest the thing which is making me want to use Hubpages for what I want to achieve, is the community there seems to be here. When you first start Blogging online or what ever term you use, allot of sites you look at seem to be very well organised, with lots of different modules you can tailor to your needs. Most of these sites have numerous way's of generating revenue stream's but what they don't have is an active community.
Like any community Hubpages seem's to have its share of all types off people which I believe you need. From those which believe (right or wrongly) that they have the moral high ground to the "Snake Charmer's and potion seller's". To me this makes a vibrant community.
What I want to achieve with Hubpages
Being somebody who needs to work from home out of neccesaty rather than choice I have to look at all ways I can make a living online. Blogging seems one method I would enjoy but to do this properly there are plenty of thing's to learn.
I could spend the next 2000 words twittering on about Search engine optimization, Affilate marketing or various adword skills but to be honest it would be a waste of time. Why? Because I realy dont have the skill's to write good quality content yet. This is the first thing I need to learn and I intend to learn it on Hubpages.
My first few Hub's are very poor I dont mind admitting but I can only get better
How I intend to achieve this
I intend to achieve this by writing Hubs (sounds easy huh).
One of the best tools there seems for starter's on Hubpages is the request's section. It will give me an opportunity to research subject's I know nothing about, to write Hubs of various length's depending on the answer's I discover and hopefully develop my own style on the way. Once I have 100 or so Hub's and I can look at them and think to myself "hey these are not bad" then I shall try to start writing some and monetarizing them but until then Practise practise.
I shall also use my own Ideas about thing's I enjoy or thing's I think I know something about (guess there wont be many of those)
Thank's for your time
Thank you for taking the time to read this Hubpage, if you are the kind of person that likes to see somebody improve and come across any of my Hub's Dated from today onward and you wish to give constructive help / criticism. Or if you want to request a hub from me (no promise's it will be perfect) then please feel free to do so. It will always be appreciated and accepted in the manner it has been given.

Welcome to hubpages! You have come to the right place for support: hubpages is a great community. Some helpful advice if you want it :-) Writing gets easier with practice, so write and write more is a good starting point. Your grammer needs work: you capitalisation is wrong - Wrongly Capitalized words Break the Flow of the sentence. Also brush up on the use of the possesive as in "there are plenty of things to learn" not "thing's". I too can't spell - so use the spell checker built into the text capsules - or better write the content off line and spell check it before you upload it - sometimes hubpages does freeze and literally eats your words - you don't want to loose them - so write off line and then copy and paste!
Thank's for the input lissie it all helps
When I found HubPages, I instantly liked the community here. Everyone has something to offer. There are great writer, semi-great writers and those that are just learning. What I like about the people here is that they don't make you feel like an idiot if you write something that isn't great, or isn't on the top ten of great subjects or whatever. I like it here because the people here are really supportive and I find that the clicks are left at the door.
I think you'll like it here. It is a good place to learn and offer what you know as well. I think your off to a good start. Keep on hubbing!

As you will see by my info, I have been registered for 5 months and have no hubs. I signed up, left and then came back on Wednesday due to the friendly community. Well done creating hubs in such a quick time. I really hope that you do well at Hubpages.
