I hope my hub makes your decision a little easier.
1. Money, this seems to be the driving for force behind many decisions. While a Nintendo Wii is the Cheapest of the 3 costing around $249.00 retail new. An Xbox runs around 259.00 and a PSP is about 399.00. It surprises me just how expensive a PSP 3 is, and with more people choosing a Wii and or an Xbox.
2. Fun, Nintendo Wii changed the gaming industry with this one. Its a great ineractive game system. With all the wireless features, and sensor bar that picks up any and all motions. A Wii is a great fun item at a party, you can seriously keep the whole party happy for hours. Best of all, everyone can be involved, not just one or two people. Many games, have the ability to play 1, 2, 3, or 4 people at one time.
3. The Games, Just the basic Wii sports that comes with every system is the best game. You have Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling, and Boxing to choose from. They all are a blast to play, and keeps everyone very interactive with whats going on. Just the idea of the Golf game mimics the way you put with perfection, and slight jerk left or right your ball will go in that direction.
4. Excersise, yes I said that correctly. You can now buy Wii fit, and you can get a sold workout will playing a video game. With many accessories widely available, and various mates that you can choose from. Wii fit is definetly something worth buying!
5. On-line gaming, not only is this a game system, but its almost like a mini computer. You have the ability to download many of the old NES games, and download them directly on to your Wii. How cool is that, you can play the Legend of Zelda on your Wii. Not to mention many other great games. you can buy USB adapters and your set ready to go, you can even play people on line. Many whom you don't even know.
If I were making this decision all over again, I would still buy a Wii hands down. I would give it 5 stars.
It is kind of funny that you can really get sore from playing a video game. Just play Wii sports for a couple hours, and the next day your shoulder will be sore. It sounds kind of corny but make sure you strech befor you play.
