53Why Is Voting Early Like Trying To Find Commercial Financing?
So there I was, heading toward the Supervisor of Elections Office to vote almost a week before the polls open officially on November 4th.
And as I appraoch the building I clearly see the sight that makes most people cringe. The sight of the longest line you have ever seen.
And, according to the news media this line would easily take 2 - 3 hours to get through. Good thing I wasn't going to be standing in THAT line!
No, I just walked right through the line and headed straight into the Administration office. Once there I walked right up to the counter, where there was no waiting, and I asked for an Absentee ballot. It took about 5 minutes to complete a short form and confirm my mailing address before I was handed an Absentee Ballot.
"Will you be taking that home of completing it here", the young woman asked. "Oh no, I will be completing it here", I quickly replied.
And I headed off to the side where about 12 voting booths sat, with 11 of them being empty, just waiting for me.
Another 10 minutes for completing my ballot, stuffing it into the envelope, sealing the envelope and signing and dating the outside of the envelop.
And there I was, 15 minutes later walking past the same people, in the same long line, except this time I had my "I Voted" sticker on my shirt as I walked by.
And as I walked by I felt these strange stares coming my way. As if they wondered, "Who does he know that he can just walk right in and vote, while I am stuck waiting in this line for 3 hours?"
So what does this have to do with Commercial Financing?
EVERYTHING!
Because I did not know anyone at the Supervisor of Elections Office. Everyone standing in that line could have done the same thing I did, and instead of waiting in line for 3 hours, they could have been done in 15 minutes. Just like me!
And that's just like Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Investors and Developers who are all lined up at their local Bank asking for Commercial Financing, only to be told "no".
Why do they keep going to the bank only to be told "No" over and over again? Well, why would someone wait in line for 3 hours when they can walk inside a different door and accomplish the same thin in 15 minutes?
All of the Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Investors and Developers going to their local Bank for Commercial Financing need to try a different door if they want to hear a different answer!
It really is that simple. Yet it remains so difficult.
But I understand it's not their fault. Just as it it's not the fault of those people waiting in line for 3 hours for something they can do in 15 minutes.
The real issue is they don't know, so how can they choose a different door?
If someone would tell them they could be in and out in 15 minutes, without having to wait, don't you think they would? I certainly do!
Just as if someone told all of the Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, Professionals, Investors and Developers they could go somewhere other than the local Bank, and they would hear "yes" on their Commercial Financing request, they would not waste their time at the Bank.
Well, if you are a Business Owner, Entrepreneur, Professional, Investor or Developer, this is me telling you I am the other door for your Commercial Financing needs!
It's true. I am NOT a Bank. But I am a Commercial Correspondent Lender, or Commercial Mortgage Broker. And I know you're not used to talking to me.
And, you may have heard stories about Commercial Mortgage Brokers that make you distrust all Commercial Mortgage Brokers.
Don't make that mistake now. We're not all the same. I am not the same! I wouldn't be part of the largest Commercial Mortgage Brokerage in the Country if that were the case.
I wouldn't see my business up over 75% from this time last year if that were the case. No, I am the person who can get "yes" when someone needs Commercial Financing.
Obviously it still has to be a Commercial Loan that makes sense. There's no "easy" money in this market. Not that there's been easy money in the Commercial Market anyway, but the loan needs to make sense to get financed.
The bottom line is, you now know how to avoid the 3 hour wait.
And more importantly, if you're a Business Owner, Entrepreneur, Professional, Investor or Developer, you now know how to get a "YES" when you need Commercial Financing.
