I'm not here to make a hubpages review.

"Why Did You Join Hubpages?".

I wish there was a more complicated question as to why I joined Hubpages but there isn't. I wanted to write.

Writing creatively has been a dream of mine when I was a student. Until recently, I've had just a few chances to write articles. I ran my own blog (I have a very inactive one). But blogs really aren't meant to be for writing on different topics. Blog articles are meant to be written focusing on one or a few related topics.

I see Hubpages as a means for myself to write as much as I would, letting my self grow to become a better writer (I suck at writing). Stephen King (you probably know him) recommends writing around 2000 words a day. A book I recently read a review on suggests 10000 hours of work to be good at something. And that's exactly what I am doing. I'm working hard, writing and practicing so that one day I get to become someone I intend to be. A good writer.

While this is the reason why I joined Hubpages, I think there are still other reasons why a person should join Hubpages. Here are a couple.

Making Money

Tons of people have been using the internet to literally make money online. I know of a few who have been living well on this. Working at home, blogging and selling among many other means.

Hubpages is one tool you can use to make money. I will not try a hubpages vs squidoo comparison since I haven't tried Squidoo enough to make one. I repeat that this is not a scam. You can make money online with Hubpages and the most popular channel being Google Adsense.

Promote Themselves

A lot of hubbers are professional writers. Some don't have their own blog. They make use of hubpages as a portfolio site to show off their writing skills. This can sometimes land them writing gigs.

Be Social

Being a hubber is not only about writing stuff. It's also about joining a community. A growing community that gives ideas and things to think about. I've been a member for just a few days and I'm really sensing a great community here.

Now let's see if I've been correct with my answer. Why did you join Hubpages?
