The problem with this method is that it is almost totally dead. Consider this when 4 out of 5 respondents were asked how they would rather learn about products or services including network marketers the majority rules. Over 90% said that they would rather find a business opportunity or product on their own, then have it pushed on them.

Talking to friends, family to convince them to join your company. How well can you say your success has been using this method in your network marketing? First, they didn’t ask for you to pitch them your business opportunity. Second, if they are going to resent the fact that you invited them for dinner, just to have business opportunity forced down their throat. More than likely, they are not interested in anyway. Even if you are lucky enough to persuade them to join, they will not be a very good downline for you.

Even worse than that they probably won’t do anything and may even within 90 days end up quitting altogether. The statistics prove this to be true, because 95% of them usually run out of money to buy their advertising & autoships eventually. So, all that time & effort you & the money they have invested in that new business go down the drain. So, either you or your downline is happy!

Buying leads & cold calling them to push them to join you in business whether they want to or not. This is a no brainer, spending money you probably did not have in the first place, calling leads that have no interest in your product or business opportunity. Also these leads that have more than likely been worked at least once, twice or even a dozen times. With what result?

The network marketer, cold calling them is one of million that call them over & over. Until they the prospects are fed up. There is three ways they will usually go. They will have a hostile response of rejection, they may even threaten to file either a spam complaint or they will complain because little did you know that they were on the do not call registry. Then you will find that you are unable to reach them, because they avoid you. If you are really fortunate you may get them to join you in business.

The problem you run into with this form of marketing, is that they are usually not qualified leads! So, knowing that the statistics are a dismal 99% rejection rate why would you waste your time or money on this kind of marketing. Then risk getting sued or going to jail or a huge fine for spam or a complaint for calling them on the do not call registry.

Here is something to consider, similar to having home meetings your friends will feel betrayed that you dragged them to some meeting listening to some guy they do not know from Adam, trying to convince newcomers to join the person that brought them to the meeting in business.

There are multiple problems with this form of marketing. IT DOES NOT WORK! Why is that? The problem is they again did not ask to be sold a business opportunity. Second, they are not interested in your offer to begin with. They do not want to buy your products. Worse case scenario, they feel you betrayed their trust, so as a result they may not want anything to do with you and you may lose them as a friend completely.

The statistics prove that 95% of the people on average that are exposed to this form of marketing either do not join or some of the 5% that do, quit within 90 days or less. Doing this form of marketing do you really think is effective marketing plan for network marketing? Apparently not!..

Going to conventions & other events. Does this form of marketing work any better than the rest? Not by much! The problem with this form of marketing is that it is expensive! So, trying to get your prospect to go with you on such a network marketing event is that it is a huge commitment for you & the prospect.

If you try to get them to go with you, you have a real difficulty justifying the reason they should spend hundreds, or even in some cases thousands of dollars to go on this trip to such an event. What is wrong with this picture, you think? For one, to afford it you better be serious about your business & successful. Because it is not going to be cheap. In some cases, you may have to advance your prospect money for him to go.

If he decides to decline your business opportunity offer, well you might as well say that you will be stuck with the bill! Not a pleasant situation. Statistics show, unfortinately, that this happens 8-10 times. Not a good outcome. So, now that it has been proven how ineffective these marketing tools are for network marketers.
