I'm sure you've heard the old saying that "nice guys finish last" and "jerks always get the girl."

Is this true? Well, yes and no.

It's true that nice guys finish last. It's true that "jerks" always get the girl. HOWEVER, the accepted understanding of the "jerk" is wrong. If you're too "nice" you won't get the girl. but you don't need to be mean or distant or a "jerk" in the typical sense to get the girl.

The truth is that guys who are "jerks" are getting alot less women than nice guys would with just a few modifications!

These changes that nice guys need to make in order to get more women can be condensed into three categories.

Sexuality Around Women

There are certain social limits on what men can do around women. These restrictions are in place for good reason, but "nice guys" don't know where they are -- they think the limits are alot more restricting than they are, particularly when it comes to sexuality.

Nice guys think that being sexual around women is inappropriate. They're wrong!

Being open about your sexuality around women is a powerful way of demonstrating your interest and attraction to her. Flirting and joking about sex will show her that you're interested in her sexually, not just as a friend.

Decisiveness

Nice guys are often paralyzed by indecision around women. They wait for the woman to make the first move. This is a HUGE mistake.

Women take their cues from men when it comes to relationships. If you want a sexual relationship with a woman, you need to make the first move. You simply have to.

This can be tough. There are all sorts of variables and you might be rejected.

Here's my question: so what? So what if you get rejected? So what if she's already taken? Look, just do it. If she says no, then it will be awkward for a day or so and then it will be done and you'll get over it. Nobody likes rejection, but the small amount of time you spend being hurt by that feeling pales in comparison to the potential happiness you'll get from dating more and having meaningful, sexual relationships with women.

You need to act -- be the first to ask her out, be the first to go in for the kiss, be the first to escalate to sex. Not only will you have to do this, but women find this confidence very attractive.

Being Interesting

Nice guys are usually, to put it bluntly, boring.

They tell boring stories. They have boring conversations. They bore women.

When you're with women, you have to be interesting. Be playful with them. Orient your conversation towards feelings. Tease them. Bust on them a little bit. Throw paper airplanes at her. Poke her in the ribs. Whatever -- do dumb things with her like you would with your little sister. Just have fun.

So, What Does This Have To Do With Nice Guys and Jerks?

Nice guys don't do any of these things. Jerks usually do all of them. BUT you don't have to be a jerk to do them! You can be respectful, honest, and decent and still do all these things.

You have to be confident, decisive, and sexual -- and still be a decent guy! That's the most attractive sort of guy a woman can find and what most of them are looking for. The ones that are looking for guys who just do whatever they say and have no self-respect (the extreme nice guy) or guys who abuse them (the extreme jerks) have serious problems of their own and you should avoid them!
