I am really surprised to read this news that only market is doing well in the recession time -is sex industry. I think this happens as when someone loose job he has little more time to watch and enjoy stuff. Here are very interesting facts about this booming business:
-Online dating business is booming-Since recession has started online dating sites has shown big spikes in numbers of customers.This could be equally true that the rush of new singles on the market is a sign of a whole lot of dumping going on. The unemployed may have all sorts of time to update their love profile, but they are seldom at their most confident and attractive.
-Adult Toy shops-These shops has shownig a quick spikes in business. This is also due couples are cutting their entertainment expenses and staying in for cheap thrills.Another reason may be do youself motto.
- Condom manufacturers- Condom manufacturers attribute the correlation to people staying home and resorting to cheaper forms of "recreation," while also being reluctant to have more kids in uncertain times.Condoms aren't the only things selling strong
-Porn Industry- The porn industry made a whopping $12 billion in 2007.Flmmakers attending the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas in January said that sales of all adult movies were up in December and January.
Wow this shows that nothing affect this indusry.

Don't read too much into that. Old companies like Playboy, Hustler and Vivid are in danger of going out of business. Things were different when XXX movies were made little different than mainstream movies with all the panoply of Hollywood. Now any yahoo with a few hundred dollars to spend and a video camera can make a movie. Bad news for the old dinosaur companies, good news for people who like XXX movies.
