Why So Much Hate?
48The election is over but the counting goes on, as does the hate. For eight years the Democratic Party has worked members into a fever pitch of hate. Is it too much to expect that winning a majority in the senate, a majority in the house and the White House would soothe their fire?
It is a fearful thing to have half a nation enraged at the other half. Civil War is only an incident away. Call me foolish but with the level of hate you see on the internet, I can’t help but wonder when it will happen. It surely will because such hate can’t be contained.Wasn’t it enough to win? This week on BOSTON LEGAL, Jerry (the guy with real problems) punched a guy out and then danced. Republicans can deal with losing and even the dancing. It is the ongoing hate that scares the dickens out of us. Take five minutes and visit any messageboard where politics are discussed. What you find is that the majority of Democrat-leaning posters are yelling and belittling anyone who has a different opinion. I’m sure there will be plenty of people reading this that will launch nuclear missiles at me and say, “Stupid Bush-voting moron. Shut up and go away we don’t need you in this country anyway!” and to that I would say, “Look at the voter registration numbers of active military and tell all the republicans to leave.” (And as a side note – isn’t it amazing that so many active military absentee ballots got lost or were not received in time to vote)But the anger – what is it going to take to quell the hate so many democratic have? As long as I’ve been on the internet, way back when CompuServe was new), I never saw Republicans spew hate and name-calling like the Democrats. Why is this they hate so much and republicans refrain. Aren’t the democrats for free speech and lifting up people, hearing all voices and tolerant?PrintShare it! — Rate it: up down flag this hub

you reap what you sow. very soon Obama will be in the political crosshairs and everything he does will become suspect. every move he makes will be dissected. The MSM will begin to sour on him since they have to create controversy to make news. and the left, as always historically occurs, will begin to feed on each other. The worm turns, and cycles begin anew. They have sown bad karma with this election and there is a price to be paid.
As we can see nothing has changed since the election. The great Hope and Change has changed anything. Liberals and Conservatives are still at it - HATING! But from the perspective of an observer it seems the HATE is mostly one sided -- the media is feeding it. Look at the editorial cartoons in papers and magazines. Read the political columnists. Watch the unbiased news.
Yes, the Republicans are organizing against HEALTHCARE reform that they see as changing for the worst. But so are the Democrats by calling out Unions and political groups. Even the President has organized his former campaign into an organization to physically challenge the healthcare protesters.
We are becoming a nation even more divided than before the election. Now it is rich vs middle-class; white vs. black, old vs. young.
How can we allow the MEDIA to continue to divide us. If anyone throws a rock or bottle or beats someone with a sign - it should be the media that is the target!!!
Good Hub...We now have a president(junior Senator) through political correctness and Camelot. Hollywood, Liberal extremism and Big Labor finally have their guy in office.
Actually...the hatred is less disturbing to me than the absolute acceptance of Obama being the savior of the United States.

even during the election Obama had "truth squads" that would suppress discussion (Missouri). Then there was the incident of Barbara West asking Joe Biden about Karl Marx and later aid he will not go on that show ever again. Any dissent is labeled as racist. This is my friend Augustus explaining how the race card was used.

and it will continue to be used. I have stopped watching MSM and now spend a lot of time listening to http://www.patriotbrigaderadio.com/livejava.php because it appears that Obama will seek to reintroduce the "Fairness doctrine" which will suppress dissent.
Unfortunately, as all politicians do, Obama made many promises and, as all politicians do, he will break those promises. He appealed to many people who may want an easy path. His supporter George Soros, the man who broke the Bank of England, may very well have been the person causing the economic collapse that bought Obama the white House. Without the fear of the economic catastrophe, McCain/Palin may have had a chance. people vote with their pocketbooks. and most people are not sufficiently intelligent to see through the smoke screen that he was going to give 95% a tax break. Unfortunately, they will learn too late that his increase in capital gains tax will drive businesses to cut their overhead and lay off employees or to go offshore.
But, going back to the virulence, Obama did create that divisiveness intentionally, possibly manipulating the inter-generational tensions. Also, may of his supporters were attached to him irrationally. for example, one friend of mine wrote to me today saying that abortion is going to be lower with Obama. He obviously had no clue that Obama is not only the "full abortion candidate"" but also a proponent of infanticide. So, his supporters really didn't know the issues, but attached to him emotionally. This is the mark of a "personality cult." congressman Paul Broun was forced to apologize for saying that Obama would become a dictator and was a Marxist, probably because someone pulled the race card. And this is what they will do to quell any dissent.
I believe that the appointment of Rahmbo Emmanuel also sends a clear message that there will be bi-partisanship.
