Why Sports Fan Are Crazy about Their Teams
Since I start watching hockey I am fan of my team. When they win I feels so happy .When they looses I feels sad. I am not as crazy as see other fans I see. They are always living the life of crazy fans.
I see there are many occasions when people go crazy for something and then, at the end of it all get as little as reward for their fanaticism. A phenomenon pretty much similar to this scenario recreates itself almost every game in the the NHL scenario.
The supporters of the NHL game are a rowdy and boisterous lot. Their support to their team is, of course, legendary. I find crazyness go higher when in playoff. Fans starts fighting with each others for their teams.
The NHL is is divided into two conferences, east and west. There are 15 teams in each conference. After playing 82 games 16 team qualify for playoff. In the end, two teams left, one form eastrent confrence other form west conferences.
For good or for bad, through victories and heartbreaking defeats, through wrenching relegations and promotions, a supporter will always stick with his lot.
Hockey games are not just sporting events; they are much more to the fans. Ice rink is a temple. The fans come here to show their devotion. And how they show it! They come with horns, drums and what not, and they enjoy themselves till puck drop. They create such an atmosphere that, after a while, it doesnt even matter if they win or lose. It's the pure entertainment that keeps everybody going. Dont get me wrong, everybody is desperately hoping their team is going to send the opposition to the dryers , but hell, the sky is not going to fall on our heads if our team doesnt !
And that's how it goes. I hope this spirit that is prevalent amongst the gooners, the trotters, the toffees and so on, names these fans go by, never fades, and the beautiful game is graced with their exuberance forever.
My question is still there,why are Fans are so crazy....

Here is how much of a Cub fan I am...
If you are a true Chicago Cub fan, you hate the White Sox. I truley hate them...with a passion. In myu hate for the Sox, I don;t want to be associated with thier stupid fans so I decided I could no longer be a fan of any other chicago sports team such as the Bears and Bull because they have Sox fans as well. So I pretty much disowned all of other sports landscape in my city / region.

Adam, I feel your pain! I've been a Cub fan for 20 years now. I don't like the "good guys". And I use that term loosely! I became a fan in 89. I got married and we got cable. And we got WGN. LOVED it!!! I watched every game. I lived and died with every pitch. (Especially when Mitch was pitching!!) I miss him! Didn't have a boring moment with Mitch! Always 3-2 with a few walks thrown in. I miss Harry Carey! I miss Mark Grace and Ryno. I love the team we have now. I don't like when a player leaves the Cubs for more money (Maddox) and then come back and act like they are true Cubs! UGH!! Don't get me started! I'm glad Sammy left because he talked trash about the club, although while he was there, he did help at times. I get trashed talked horribly down here in Mississippi. Apparently I am supposed to support the braves or the cards. WRONG! I wear my Cubs earring, pins, shirts, and caps with great pride. I have a boys of Zimmer tshirt I keep as a keepsake. I miss Zim. I live for opening day! The new baseball network has already had Mitch on there as a commentator. Loving that of course!! I live as a Cubbie and I'll die as one!! I am a NASCAR fan also. Ward Burton being my favorite driver. I haven't forgotten one hit from anyone who hit him. Ask my husband! LOL You get involved with these men. You get to know them, their famlies, etc. It's an emotional attachment. If you are not a sports fan, it's hard to explain. I can't like any driver who has hit Ward. There's a long list. I like Jr, Carl, and a few more. I miss Ward, he will always be my #1 driver. As a Cub Fan, I have shed my share of happy tears (1989) and sad tears (THAT fan catching that ball that Alou should have had. If you're a fan, you know what I'm talking about!) Anyway, that's my take on being a sports fan. Maybe someone can relate.
