I've just finished listening to New York Times #1 seller "Why We Want You To Be Rich" by Donald Trump, multi-billionare business man, and Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad. It was a great listen that was very motivating. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Although the concepts in the book were very broad on how to get rich, there were plenty of concepts that I was able to take away from it for myself. The main concept of the book was really about what a person can do to change their patterns to get where they want to be financially no matter what age a person is or who they are.

One of the main things that really stood out to be was the concept of doing everything you can do to contiously be learning and bettering your financial education. Donald Trump states that while going to Wharten School of Business he was constantly learning on his own about real estate and finance. Donald couldn't get his hands on enough information which set him apart from everybody else. He goes also says that there were plenty of brighter students than him who ended up with great jobs at accounting firms, but not too many who had success like himself.

By being prepared, the chances of success are way higher compared to someone who is not. The numbers of people who pay an expert for their investment is huge. They recommend spending at least a few hours a week learning so you can make smart investments in something that interests you.

In the end, the success a person has is the end result of determination to pursue your desires.

I highly recommend this book. I was able to listen through it in about a week in just my time walking to and from classes. Do any of you have audiobooks to recommend that are based around the topics of financial and life success?

Today Matter by John Maxwell is an excellent audio book on life success. Two books (not audio unfortunately) I highly recommend are 1)Getting Things Done by Mark Forster. This would be a book I would recommend anyone read before any other book as it is a book that helps one organize their life in such a way as to achieve the daily mundane things as well as life goals: such as becoming wealthy. It is by far the most practical book I have ever read. 2)The Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker. It provides some general concepts as to how wealthy think in terms of acquiring wealth. What I found most compelling, though, is his concept of someone's money blueprint determining how much wealth someone can acquire. Basically a money blueprint in his terms is everything you have ever been taught about money through verbal lessons, people modeling money concepts, and personal experience concerning the subject. So, in essence, your money blueprint is either designed for you to acquire wealth or not, and if it isn't...he proposes to help you change it. Good read. It shouldn't be the last book you read on the subject, but it would definately give someone a different look on the matter.

Beyond Positive Thinking by Dr. Robert Anthony is another book that comes very highly recommended by many sources.

If you personally know of any great books or audiobooks, please recommend them to me as I am always looking to learn and find great information. Particularly in the area finance. stysa91@yahoo.com
