Joint Pain

Joint pain is known to be the stiffness in a joint.

Bones are not able to work on their own. They need the support of cartilages and joints to allow their movement. As you grow older, your joints and cartilages weaken and deteriorate. The deterioration of joints eventually causes the bones to rub each other; the rubbing of bones brings pain to the joints.

Joint pain is also caused by a lot of types of injuries. Whatever the cause of joint pain is, it is undeniably bothersome to have it.

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and bursitis are the common major causes of joint pain. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that causes pain and rigidity in the joints. RA is long-term and causes not only joint pains but also organ deterioration. The cause of rheumatoid arthritis is not known but is considered to be an autoimmune disease because your immune system fights and destroy healthy tissues rather than foreign substances such as viruses. The immune system malfunctions by attacking itself by mistakenly taking healthy tissues for threatening substances.

This type of arthritis can occur at any age and women are more prone to experience RA than men. The joints on both sides of the body are affected by rheumatoid arthritis. The most commonly affected areas are the fingers, wrists, knees, feet, and ankles. The duration and severity of the disease can vary from one person to another. History of arthritis, infection, and hormones may contribute to the occurrence of the disease.

Osteoarthritis is generally known to be a degenerative disease because cartilages at a joint wear off and bone spurs develop. It is one major cause of joint pain common in adults who are at least forty five years old. Osteoarthritis is often associated with aging even if other metabolic, chemical, mechanical and generic factors cause the disease. When osteoarthritis gets worse, bones rub each other because the cartilage that connects them disappears. Also, bony spurs form around a joint. Primary osteoarthritis is arthritis caused by no injury while secondary osteoarthritis is caused by another health condition. Some causes of secondary osteoarthritis are: inflammatory disorders, injury, metabolic and anatomical disorders.

Joint pain can also be caused by bursitis or the inflammation of the bursae. The bursae are fluid-filled sacks that act as pad or cushion to allow muscles and tendons to move freely over your bones. Bursitis can be caused by overuse, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, infection or trauma. In some cases, the cause cannot be determined. This condition commonly occurs in your shoulders, elbows, hip, and knee. The feet may also be affected by such. Inflammation can be chronic with repeated attacks of this disease.

Because joint pains can lead to very serious conditions, you are advised to consult a health professional once you feel pain, stiffness and swelling in your joints. Joint pains are generally curable when they are given treatment the soonest possible time. For serious cases, patients resort to joint replacement surgery to relieve their joint pains.

Many people find relief from joint pain by using a Rife machine. To see the best one on the market please visit www.TheDetoxBox.com.
