Why did God Send Jesus to Die for Our Sins?

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten son to die four our sins. The sins of everyone that will accept Jesus for who he is. Now who is this man Jesus?

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

What does this mean? The Word was in the beginning? But wasn't God in the beginning? God was indeed in the beginning and only God. So if God is in the beginning wouldn't His Word also be in the beginning?

Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Everything that was made was made by God's Word. If God hadn't spoken it into existence then it does not exist.

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Life is in the Word of God. This life is the light of men. Do you accept the light?

Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Darkness did not comprehend the light of God. Even to this day darkness hates the light. Darkness always flees the light.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

This same Word (that was in the beginning and was God) was made flesh. This Word dwelt among us full of grace and truth. What does this mean? This means that God Himself took upon Himself a body of flesh and dwelt among men living as men live. He walked as we walk. Talked as we talk. He did the things that men do with the exception of sinning. God does not sin. Men are sinners. They are unclean and wicked. There is no good in men at all. God knows this. This is why God gave Himself as a sacrifice for the sins of all men that will receive Him in the person of Jesus Christ.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is "THE WAY" not many ways. There is no other way to the Father but by Jesus. What does this mean? It means that the only way to Go to the Father is by way of His Son Jesus that died on the cross for our sins. We must accept Jesus as our Saviour and confess our sins before Him. When we talk with Jesus we talk with the Father. They are one and the same. (Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one. )

Now what happens to those that refuse Jesus?

Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

All who refuse this great salvation that has been freely given to all by God Himself will be cast into the lake of fire. God doesn't want anyone to go into this dreadful place that was created for the devil and his angels. Man insists on going there and there is nothing I can do to stop them. God gave His son for all that will accept Him for who He is. God does not want anyone to go to hell but men will go just because they refuse to accept Jesus. ( 2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.) It is not God's will that anyone should perish. God wants all to be saved. God loves you so much that He made the way so you can get back to where you really belong.

There is a day coming when Jesus comes back to catch away those that are His. This will be a time of rejoicing for those that are called away but a time of sorrow for those that are left behind. You have the opportunity at this time to accept Jesus as your Saviour. There may never be another chance. There are so many false gods its pathetic these days. People say "It's my truth and not necessarily your truth." I say this, "Whats good for me is good for you." If God is good for me then God is good for you too, after all, He went to the cross for you too. In other words, Jesus died for you too.

You can keep kidding yourself and lying to yourself saying it isn't true. You can keep your head buried in the sand if you want. The fact 0f the matter is this, men are evil and wicked. They only want what's good for their own selves. God knows this and some people know this but others refuse to see it. Which side are you on? Do you believe there is a fence you can sit on to remain neutral? If there is a fence satan owns it. Jesus Himself said' "You are for me or against me." Doesn't it make sense to be on Jesus' side? Isn't eternal life so much better than eternal torment? I know some will call me a liar because of this message. I know others will call me other names that I refuse to repeat. But that's OK. I am used to it. Those that refuse this message refuse God Himself. It really has nothing to do with me. God gives me His word and I hand it over to others.

Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

Those that are evil you can remain evil. If you're so set in your ways, you have the right to stay there. No man can make you receive this salvation that God has given to any and all who will accept it.

Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

The time is very near to Jesus coming back for His church. Will you be ready to go with Him when He comes? Will you refuse to go with Him when he comes. The choice is yours to make. If you refuse then you have your oneself to blame. God has done His part. It is my hope that someone who reads this gives their heart to Jesus. This is what the gospel is about. To save that which is lost. The lost are all men that have not yet accepted Jesus. Make the right choice right now while you have time. You never know what tomorrow may bring, even if there is a tomorrow.

Prayer

Father God, I thank you for your holy Word. I thank you for all you have done for me, not just for me, but for all that will come to you. I thank you Father, for those that are around me that help me in my time of need. I thank you Father for allowing me to post this message to those that are still lost. I trust in you Father and your Word that it not return void. I send it out in faith believing that someone is in need of this Word. Thank you Father for loving me and those that are still in the world. In Jesus mighty name, AMEN!!!!!

The secret of life is a wet bird in a dry haystack.

That make about as much sense as your statement.

The world has changed for the worse in the last two thousand years and it couldn't have been any worse if Jesus was never on Earth. It was my understanding that the whole purpose of Jesus coming to Earth was to make the people change their ways. This clearly has not happened in the last two thousand years. There is no mention of Jesus or the Holy Ghost in the Old Testament and it was around for two thousand years before the New Testament.

You  can read the Bible, written by many mortal men over hundreds of years after the disappearance of Jesus. You can't validate Jesus with these documents.

The worlod has changed yes. Jesus has not changed since the very beginning. God has not hcnaged. His Word remains the same now as it did when He first created everything.

The whole purpose of Jesus coming to earth was to save that which was lost. Maybe you can tell me where you get your information. The Old Testament is indeed all about Jesus. Would you like to learn more?

The Bible indeed was written by mortal men, but they were moved upon by the Spirit of God to write. SOemthing for you to ponder. The Bible consists of 66 books. Each book was written under the anoiting of the Holy Ghost. Read each book and see hwo they all flow. Even though there were hundreds of years betweem book and they all span over a time of about 5000 or so years, they all go together as if written by one man.

Good Job!! You were able to explain God's word were others could understand it, breaking it down piece by piece so each questions the reader may have had, would be answered by the next verse. Great Job! I know others reading this will be blessed as I know that I was!

You are a great witness, keep it up! I love your Hubs about God they are a great way to spread the word!

peacemakrbcatyahoo I tried to send E-mail and it came back as a failure, I hope you come back to this!

I believe "it is not the will of God that anyone should perish, but that all should know everlasting life" was paraphrased from John 3:16 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This is the closest I can come to the other "you do not know the plans I have for you plans for good, and not for evil to bring you a future and a hope" sounds a lot like this one ,

"I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I pray this is what you were looking for. God bless you.

The concept of atonement revolves directly around the 'notion' that as a result of Adam commiting sin, his progeny became sinful (through inheritance). Therefore, it is further believed that Jesus, being Son of God, was sinless and thus died on the cross for mankind's salvation.

First of all I would like to say that Jesus did not die on the cross but that is not the topic of discussion here, let us remain on the topic of atonement. Now, it should be noted that whatever happened in the Garden of Eden was not because Adam commited sin. This is further explained in the Bible:

"And when the woman saw tha the tree was good for food... she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." (Genesis 3:6)

and also

"And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat." (Genesis 3:12)

and also

"And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the trasngression." ( 1 Timothy 2:14)

These verses that I have just quoted clearly show that it was Eve who's sin was greater than that of Adam and thus, only those born of woman should be sinful rather than the progeny of Adam (men), therefore, Jesus (being born of a woman) cannot atone for other's sins.

Furthermore, we read in the Bible:

"What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?" (Job 15:14)

Therefore, with this reference in mind, the concept of Jesus being sinless is practically a myth.

In addition to that, it should also be noted that Jesus was not the only one who was without sin for we read in the Bible:

"Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God." (Genesis 6:9; 7:1)

and

"Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist..." (Matthew 11:11)

Need I go on... Moving on. It is also written in the Bible that nobody can bear the sin of others for we read:

" The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin." (Deutronomy 24:16)

and lastly, I would like to mention that the proper way for the forgiveness of your sins is through repentance and this too is mentioned in the Bible as we read:

" If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2Chronicle 7:14).

Thank you for your time and pateince.

You err in your comment. Even though the woman was deceived into eating the fruit, Adam was not deceived and still ate it. Also you have to recall that it was after Adam ate the fruit that their eyes were opened and they were ashamed because they were naked.

Noah was said it be perfect in his generations yes, but not sinless.

David wrote, "I was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin." Simply put it means he was conceived in the flesh and born in the flesh.

Many times Jesus said, "Your sins are forgiven you." He also said, "Go and sin no more."

Jesus cried with a loud voice and gave up the ghost.

Perfection sacrificed for the imperfect. Jesus is the scapegoat for everyone who will accept what He did.

Why does the revival tarry? It is because God's

people tarry to obey the powerful command of

the Lord in Rev. 18:4. This is the most powerful

revival message of the Lord to his people in our time.

God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

because their preachers have rejected knowledge.

Hosea 4:6-11. Instead to preaching the truth of the

Assembly of God, they have preached lies about the

Assembly of God. The Pentecostalists have abused

the expression "Assembly of God" and used it as a

name of their church.

Why did the Pentecostal Revival take an end?
