Similar to the "naughty school girl" or the "hot nurse" , The "sexy secretary" is typically regarded as a sexual fantasy. I haven't taken an official poll, but I'm sure that very few secretaries resemble Pamela Anderson or Angelina Jolie. What it comes down to is interpersonal attraction. The natural attraction between two people turn into a friendship, then leads to a romantic relationship.

Interpersonal attraction is the magnetic force that draws two people together. Long hours in close proximity is a recipe for workplace romance. This attraction stems from an individual's ability to fulfill another's desires. When the secretary was hired, she clearly had the capeability to fulfill a number of needs. Her resume proves it.

Here is an example of how a work relationship can quickly turn to an intimate one. John works as an executive in a high profile company. The sexy secretary cliche is just that. What it all comes down to is human nature and our natural desire to feel fulfilled emotionally and physically. Initially, there may not be a drop physical attraction. As time goes on, and needs are fulfilled, the relationship can turn into somthing far more serious.
