Cheryl Cole, born Tweedy comes from a working class single parent family. She lived with her brothers and sisters in Newcastle and always dreamed of being star. From a young age though she seemed destined for great things winning several beauty competitions such as Boots bonniest baby, and Best looking girl in Newcastle amongst others. She also graced our screens on television advertisements, and was a trained dancer as a girl.

Despite her modest upbringing she has now gone on to become a wordlwide household name, idolised by millions. Currently she is a member of one of the most successful girlbands of all time, Girls Aloud, and is acting as a judge on the popular Uk TV show X factor alongside Simon Cowell. She is also known as a WAG, as she is married to Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole.

The thing about her is she has never forgot her roots.

This year Cheryl Cole has taken up a role as a mentor/judge on the popular Uk television show X factor. She started her role in the summer watching millions of people auditioning for the live shows. Then she was assigned to mentor the girls, and for any young girl who wants to be a famous singer I cant think of anyone else they would rather have to mentor them. She selected three girls to take to the live shows, Laura White, Diana Vickers and Alexandra Burke. She helped the girls each week by choosing a song she thought would suit their voices, as well as helping them with their image and styling.

One of her acts Alexandra Burke has made the X Factor final 2008, and during recent weeks Cheryl and Alexandra have become very close with the girl band singer calling Alexandra on a regular basis.

Cheryl Cole is part of the girl group called Girls Aloud, who were found from the Uk talent show Popstars the Rivals in 2002. Since then the 5 girls have went on to great success with 7 albums including 'Sound of the Underground', 'Tangled up', 'Chemistry', 'What will the neighbours say' and the newest album 'Out of control' and 19 top 10 singles worldwide, including their last release 'The Promise' which went straight to number one in the UK chart in October.

The band are destined for even greater success as each individual member as their own money making projects which just make them all stronger when they are together.

Cheryl cole is the most fashionable thing out there right now. She has recently been seen in matthew milliamson dresses, and every week on the X factor is looking as glam as ever even when she had the flu, so it comes as no surprise that fashion magazine supreme Vogue have asked her to be on their front page of their January issue.  Apparently she has been asked several times before but she didnt want to do the shoot without her band mates so she declined but now she feels the time is right for her.
