Why is Google spelled wrong?

I have been wondering the same thing that you guys have all been wondering today. Why is Google Spelled Googlle.Well the truth is that today is actually Google's 11th birthday.Yeah that's right only 11 years of age. Many of you may think that Google has been around much longer then that but the truth is Google has only been around for a decade.Google is celebrating its 11th anniversary today and decided to
commemorate the event with a doodle that references the number 11 by
adding another "l", to create "Googlle." (See photo below). As you can see from a screen shot of Google Trends,
the search engine's new doodle seems to have created a lot of
confusion. Two of the top ten queries on Google trends were "why does
Google have two 'l's" and "why is Google spelled wrong?". Maybe
"Goog11e" would have created less of a stir. You can go and check out Google trends at this link:http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends?q=why+is+google+spelled+wrong&date=2009-9-27&sa=X.
According to the Guardian, there's some confusion about the exact date of Google's birthday:
Last year, Google put up its 10th birthday logo on 2 September and, according to its Wikipedia entry, it was incorporated as a privately held company on 4 September 1998.
