From the time I was a child I learned that men don't cry, men are tough, men are the head of the house and men are big and strong. Its funny how life has changed and men attitudes have changed now its quite common to see men cry openly. Its good it shows we have feelings and emotions and we shouldn't feel ashamed to cry. We see in a lot of sport men get caught up in emotions and cry if their teams win or lose. Now how many times has that happen to you. I know for me personally all the time I even cry at movies I'm a sucker for those tear jerker movies My wife looks at me as to say you big sook (wit a smile). So I'm not afraid to show my emotions and I think that's a great trait to have and I feel it makes me a better person also as a survivor of sexual abuse I have cried heaps of times in my counselling sessions or even if I talk about it, I cried when my mum passed away to me its a relief of the stress of life because lets face it life is tough to survive.

I grew up not knowing my real father and I had a step dad who turned out  to be a chronic smoker and alcoholic my mum was always sick I was abused sexually by my Scoutmaster in Devon port Tasmania in the 70s whom I had trusted and by a family friend (or so I thought) he was a cadet officer at St john Ambulance cadets these horrible events happened for a reason and I believe if I didn't learn to cry and show my emotions it would of been harder to heal my self if I had kept my emotions and crying to myself I really don't think I could of coped as well as I did.

Not all men can cry they just can't usually they think they are big strong tough men who drink beer, fight, work and that's it Well welcome to the real world in the real word Men cry and show emotions and guess what it's all good it shows you are human not a robot who is programed for only certain things.

Who knows crying may have health benefits. We cry when we get hurt. Sometimes we cry for no good reasons. But as far as I know, crying is not bad. Psychological counselor Li Jin from the Yang Guang Hua Ren Psychological Service says the answer is "Yes".
"Weeping is one of the mechanisms that humans use to get rid of some toxins. Tears may be involved in removing waste products or toxic substances from the body. Perhaps that is why so many people say they feel better after crying."When we cry some toxins flashes away and flows with the tears. Also, crying helps relieves stress from emotional feelings. When you cry, you are healing your heart. You are opening a channel that will allow yourself to feel. When you know then you can heal, you can mend a broken hear more quicker, more easier. Humans are the only animals who shed tears of emotion. We have different reasons why people cry. Many people expressed their loneliness and their heartaches through crying due to dissatisfaction in love relationships and misunderstood from other people.
