How comes most women need a real shoes collection and never get enough? It is normal: only think that there are four seasons in the year, and for each season there are appropriate outfits. These outfits can have lots of colors. Let's only take a few: white, black, blue, red, fuchsia, violet, yellow and brown. This means about 6-7 pairs of shoes, in different colors. If we had only yellow shoes, how could we match them with the red skirt? No chance, I hope you do agree. We could have less pairs of shoes if we chose to buy only a black pair (which goes well pretty much with everything) and a brown one (for the dark brown dresses which don't go well with black).

Then, we have the summer shoes, which are rather sandals or clogs, and which also need to be in several colors. Let's say we can manage here with 5-6 pairs, out of which, at least one has to belong to Born shoes.

As winter comes, we need boots. Boots for short skirts, boots for long skirts, boots for tight pants and boots for large pants. For the snowy and muddy days, we could use some rubber boots as well. If we only think in black and white, we still need some 6-7 pairs of boots.

So, the woman's footwear wardrobe comes to at least 20 pairs of footwear of all kinds. And I didn't count the very elegant, high hills shoes every woman needs for occasions.

After we satisfy the basic shoe needs, we need to go one step higher on Maslow's pyramid and try to please our ego, too. Famous footwear and designer shoes are exactly what we need here.

If I like, for example, Prada shoes, I'll buy at least one pair (one if I'm on a budget, and 2-3 if money is not an issue). Prada shoes go well with Prada bags (but this isd another chapter in the feminine wardrobe, so we don't touch it now).

Many women enjoy sports. But most of the sports cannot be done barefoot, nor with high heel shoes, so those women would surely need sport shoes.

Sport shoes can be of various types: there are running shoes, which are not appropriate for climbing mountains, so if a woman loves both activities, she would need two pairs of dedicated sport shoes.

Snorkeling is another cool activitiy, especially in very clear waters. But usually these waters come with lots of rocks on the bottom, so a woman who loves this kind of activity will need some special water shoes to avoid hurting her feet.

I hope now you can see how differences between men and women affect our purchasing behavior when it comes to shoes and fashion.

If you are rather the active type of person, then you probably enjoy hikes in the mountains. In such situation, shoes are essential for your experience, because the terrain is not even and if your soles are soft, your feet will suffer. As you can see, a good pair of hiking shoes is not a luxury, but a safety measure. Many people recommend hiking boots, because they also help fixing your ankles tight, therefore reducing the risk of injuries.

There are many brands of hiking shoes, but my favorite of all is Salomon. I found their shoes extremely comfortable and they don't cost a fortune. Timberland is also great, but their shoes are too expensive for my financial possibilities.

Shoes wear, there's no secret. They get old and don't look good after a few years. Then we need some new ones.

Besides, as fashion changes, new challenges appear, and we need to stay in vogue and get the new, fabulous looking Ugg boots, or the funny crocs, or whatever else may appear.

Why? Simply because it is fun. And if a man can get himself 5 mp3 players, two laptops, 100 screwdrivers, 20 flashlights, 1000 fishing rods and countless accessories, I don't see why women can't have 100 pairs of shoes, hot kicks, flats, high heels and even flip flops, if so she wishes.
