Some thoughts about alien abductions

Hubber pgrundy wanted to know what I think about alien abductions and why people have these experiences so this is an attempt to answer.

First of all, I'd like to say that I believe there are several things going on that account for the abductions reported. There are ET or alien beings from several races that have been doing this, and include the greys, who are the best known ones, and also there are secret military and mind control operations going on carried out by humans using a variety of means to trick their victims into believing they have been taken by aliens. Then I am sure there are the people who make claims just to get attention and have made up their stories based around the very large amount of material that exists on the subject.

There are books like Communion by Whitley Strieber, and films like Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Fire in the Sky about abductee Travis Walton that have popularised the subject and brought it well and truly into the public arena worldwide.

About the aliens said to be doing this abducting there are many theories and explanations, including that they are experimenting on us and doing research and that they are engaged in some cross breeding program. That victims are taken against their free will and are often terrified and physically abused suggests that the beings doing this are not friendly to us. It is often claimed that abductees are implanted with physical implants with purposes unknown. However, it can also be argued that these unpleasant abductions are actually done by humans disguised as aliens and part of the reason why is to give ETs a bad name and make people regard them as the enemy.

A good friend of mine who has described one of her friendly abduction experiences when she was taken to an otherworlders' base and shown around it is Karen Lyster. She did an Internet broadcast along with Dan Willis who was a witness in the Disclosure Project, on Captain Jack's show.

The blurb about Karen says: "Karen Lyster has been a UFO Researcher for over 25 years. She has had personal contact with different Off Planet Cultures which has spanned a lifetime. They have even saved her life on more than one occasion. These encounters have left her with abilities such as visions of extreme earth changes, prophecy, telepathy to name a few."

Her part of the show is here but you have to wait for the ads and Capt Jack to finish talking before Karen speaks. She is well worth waiting for:

Linda Moulton Howe is a well respected UFO researcher as well and I haveincluded videos of her research conducted over 10 days at the abduction site in Brazil of the controversial Urandir Oliveira abduction.

And finally, here is an interview with Alec Newald who was abducted from where he was in New Zealand for a period of 10 days and taken to a world called Haven. His book Co-evolution comes highly recommended by me.

Thank you for answering! I'm familiar with Linda Moulton Howe's work, but the other links you provided on the Captain Jack show are new to me. Thank you for them. I have the same sense of it that you laid out here, that alien abduction reports are many different things happening all at once: part military psi-ops experiments using hypnosis, part people who are perhaps ill or just want attention, but part of it at least seems genuine. Fairly ordinary people, minding their own business, have their lives interrupted in this bizarre way and it's all very vivid and sticks with them pretty much permanently.

Then you get this whole group of debunkers coming out explaining about sleep paralysis and oxygen deprivation effects and so on. At some point the scientific explanations get so tortured and hard to follow that you have to ask yourself if what happened isn't exactly what it appears to be, no moe, no less. I think it's fascinating. Maybe I will do another hub about it, I don't know--When you said you'd seen a UFO I thought you might have some things to say about it and these links are grea. Thanks for all of them, I'm listening to Karen as I type this.

Glad you like it and we agree. Karen is a very good friend of mine and as you are hearing she has been involved since her childhood. So have I - see the other hub I have here and I just added the link at the bottom of this one. I have lots of UFO experiences and other stuff and a regression hypnotist from Wales thinks I am an abductee. It's not of any importance to me now whether I am or not or what other people think about UFOs - I know they are real and they have never harmed me.

I have always been fascinated by this subject and have devoured everything I can get hold of. I believe that it cannot be a freak of nature that we are the only living carbon and water based organisms that breath oxygen.

Great hub

Thank you, sixtyorso, and I have just sent a new group of skywatchers on this island the link to this hub so I thought you might be one of them!

Fascinating viewpoint. I was "abducted" over 40 years ago as a nine year old. It was an amicable experience, and one which had a huge impact on my way of thinking.
